Will the predator come back??

Last night, I suspect that my partridge cochin went to get a drink of water when it was dark and ended up being killed through the chicken wire, as we had left the water at the door (stupid mistake I know). I'm worried that now it will come back and try to actually get into the coop and kill more of my chickens.

I think my coop is pretty secure, should I be worried about it coming back and finding a way inside?

If the predator knows that there is potential food at your coop, they will definitely return.
I think you should move the waterer to away from the door, which from your post I think you have already done. If you can, replace the chicken wire with hardware cloth; hardware cloth is sturdier (its not actually cloth LOL its just a very sturdy wire grid, i thought it was cloth for a long time). Maybe go around and double check that this predator has no way of getting into the coop i.e. under fences, over fences, through holes in the floor
