For everyone assuming the OP is just a troll please take into consideration:

The OP may not be an adult. There are many younger members on here. Children often have more sensitive views about killing chicks.

The OP is also from India. Culture is very different over there and may have been raised with different beliefs about eating animals.

As for the original question.

Will mine be eaten? Nope. I've been a vegetarian since birth and see no reason to start eating meat now.

As for killing? I have no issue with people humanely killing their chickens. I'd rather hear of a chicken having a life free ranging and being humanely dispatched then most of the factory farm kills.

I'm glad you can respect others for raising then eating their chickens. I have tried to explain why I do it to city people and some vegitarians and they just try to guilt trip me on how "I kill inoccent creatures for the hell of it". I wish everyone could understand food doesn't just appear in a plastic bag it was once a living thing and no matter what you tell yourself it is not going to change.

Yes, I butcher my chickens when I have to many roos. I am raising geese to butcher then sell for xmas dinners to my friends. They love the idea of having a free range goose dinner. I do have a few chickens I am attached to as well. My dear first rooster will always have a place in my heart. He will probably be the only one to live out his days here since he was the one who started me into chickens. Such a sweet roo. I'll be quite sad when he dies.

I'll be the first to admit some Vegetarians over react to the whole killing thing. Even as a vegetarian I still get guilt tripped about feeding my dogs meat. Well they've got to eat?

. I also have an extremely aggressive White Chinese Gander. If he wasn't my favorite goose's mate he would have probably been killed a long time ago. I always try to respect everyone's opinions especially on sensitive issues such as eating meat.

I won't eat them, because I wouldn't be able to kill them. When they stop laying, I'll let them help me till my huge garden every year. THen when they eventually die, I will know that they lived a long and happy life.
that being said. If one prolapses or something, and is hurt really bad and will not make it, I may have my dad or someone kill it, and they may trick me into eating it. I don't want them to be hurt or in pain.
