I got 2 ducks the other day and the people had assorted chickens. I asked if I could walk over to see them and Wow.............wow....
They had two huge roosters. They were sooooo beautiful One looked like a plymouth rock and the other had all these colors . their spikes on their feet were 2-3 inches long and their combs were long.I 've never really seen a rooster that close and I can't stop coveting them..
I try to remind myself I'm lucky to have my girls but... still wouldn't mind seeing a humongous boy out there strutting around:

We got one chick that turned out to be A boy but, we had to get rid of him because of his crowing and he started to get mean. He was still an adolescent. I would love to sit back with a cup of coffee and view everyone's big beautiful breeds of roosters.


This was our onl one --I gave him away--- spike was his name.

This is "Barak" our 11 month old GC Marans.



We will be replacing Barak soon I hope with a French Black Copper roo. (I've got 16 eggs in the bator)
