We went to visit the chickens today and give them their Christmas mealworm treats. Not a single chicken was out in the run when we got there. The chickens tried braving the wind, while all four of us were huddled in a corner of the coop with the silkies. Poor hens were being blown all over the place, they weren't even interested in their worms. We (chickens and people) finally said forget it and returned to our homes. I hope the wind dies down a little tomorrow.
