I had to go out of state for 4 days unexpectedly so I had a friend collect eggs every night. I have my coop set up so I could leave the chickens to their own devices for a week without care but since it's hot as hell here in TX, I didn't want the eggs sitting. Good thing too because in 4 days, I got a whopping 42 eggs!

I have a new layer, too! She's the smallest of the OEs and she lays GOLD eggs. I was shocked to see this color. I'm loving the variety of green!

I know it's from her because I watched her lay the egg on the right this morning.

Thats the coolest egg I've ever seen!!

I am definitely very happy with these Olive Eggers! I've never seen olive eggs in person and I thought they'd be subtle (like Easter Eggers with their pastel blues and greens) but there's nothing subtle about these eggs! So cool.

My customers always ask if they taste different. Hahaha

I am still honestly surprised when people think that you need a rooster to get eggs. If I know the person has a good sense of humor, I'll use the comparison of a woman's monthly period. If not, I'll be more... gentle in my explanation. Cracks me up.

If you had a rooster I'd be buying some eggs for hatching to incorporate into my OE's❤️ That egg is awesome!

You might have said this in past posts but where did you get these olive Eggers? Ideal?
