That's not good! This triggered my camera this morning...
Not sure my "predator proof" coop will stand up to this big kitty cat.

Not here really...they do "critter hunts" a couple times a year where you can kill them. At least where I live they do.HOLY COW :O Aren't they protected as well? Can't do anything about it ><
Nope not protected. They're pretty common around here. As long as you have a hunting license, you can kill one. There's not even a season.HOLY COW :O Aren't they protected as well? Can't do anything about it ><
Have you got any kind of noisemaker you can use to scare it off when your camera alerts you? Banging on a stock pot with a metal spoon from your bedroom window etc.Nope not protected. I won't, though.
1. They're too beautiful.
And 2. They hunt the very bad (invasive) wild pigs.
Let's just hope my build will hold up! If it's really determined, I can trap it and relocate it (with help/approval from the authorities)
Well my bedroom is about 6 acres away from the coop... I have a shotgun I can shoot into the ground, I suppose. I'm far enough from neighbors that it should be fine.Have you got any kind of noisemaker you can use to scare it off when your camera alerts you? Haha, that’s right, lol; I’d completely forgotten your layout!Well my bedroom is about 6 acres away from the coop... I have a shotgun I can shoot into the ground, I suppose. I'm far enough from neighbors that it should be fine.
The Bobcat visit was a few minutes before 6am so I was getting ready for work when I saw the camera alert.
That was a compromise I made. I can have as many animals as I want but they're not allowed near or in the house. I guess having a goat standing on the hood of the truck is a no-no?Haha, that’s right, lol; I’d completely forgotten your layout!
Whereas as soon as ours figure out how to get out of their part of the yard and up onto our deck (when, not if), they’ll be staring through the sunroom doors into our bedroom as I do homework. lol
