Ok I've been watching her on the camera and she got off the nest for about an hour at noon. Normal broody behavior??

I'm picking up eggs today after work. How do I mark them? Can I use a sharpie or will that damage the bloom?

Edited to add: uh oh... its 1400 and she's off the nest again. Does this mean she's not ready to be a mom?..

Totally normal behavior, especially in this heat. Yes you can mark them with a sharpie, I usually just put an X on them, if you use anything else it'll just rub off. Has she been sleeping in the nest?

Whew. That's a relief to hear that's normal. I was instantly regretting getting fertilized eggs! Haha

Yes, she sleeps there. From about 4:30 yesterday until this afternoon, she didn't leave the nest.
