I'm finding it all too much work and 1 pasture with a barn, animal ready, just sits empty because I am just.. paralyzed with the idea of more livestock of any variety.

Yeah, I understand that. I'm very busy with a full time job and commuting 3 hrs per day. I also have many projects that fill any time off plus regular chores. It's a lot. I'm being cautious about adding any more to my plate. Especially when it comes to animals. They deserve full attention.

She's still mothering! She hasn't brought them up to roost at night, either. They all cram in a nest box but eventually spill over throughout the night. These pics are all from last night:

Well, I almost got 2 goats today. I was really excited. They were exactly what I was looking for. Polled wethers. 1 yr old and 7 months old.

I reached out to the seller on Facebook (I basically have an empty profile. I only use it to be able to follow local businesses) and she refused to sell to me because she couldn't see any personal info on my profile. I explained that I don't put personal info on the internet and offered to talk to her on the phone or meet in a neutral place and pay asking. I even told her I could give her a reference from the lady I bought BCM hatching eggs. She said "there's no way to know you are who you say you are so I'm not going to sell to you."

She then asked for a deposit but wouldn't let me see the goats in person first. No way! I did do my research and she had references but still. Absolutely not.

I didn't realize how excited I was until I couldn't get them. Just very annoying. I could have created a completely fake profile with pictures and she would have sold them to me. How does that even make sense?!
