Red looked back at Tan. "We'd better all get inside. The water is about to swamp the entrance."
She looked towards the hen. "Are you coming? better get out of the rain. it's cold tonight."

Suddenly, a large wave washed over the threshold to the cave, forcing Red to jump backwards. The entrance to the cave was now a massive lake, and the water levels were quickly creeping up towards Tan, Fort and Central. "What sort of a freak storm is this?!" the latter yelped, leaping up.

Tan looked up from her food. "Just a little flash flood. That's all" Clucked Tan, going back to her cooking.

A sudden wave swept in and swamped Tan's stove. Central was also soaked. "Oh my Gawd," she squawked. The rain was drumming so hard on the ground that Red couldn't even hear her say it. "We've got to move!" she squeaked.

Tan, Looked at her wet feathers and coqed in dismay, as she had just preened not ten minutes ago. " This way!" She sqwaked pushing a medium sized rock to the side, exposing a hidden tunnel.

Fort struggled up, her feathers laden with water. Central couldn't wait to get out of the rain, bundling Red under her arm and charging through the tunnel. "Neat."
"Come on!" Fort shouted over the roar of water as the first drops began trickling into the tunnel. "Close it up, quick!"

Tan closed the entrance quickly. "We need to go up in case the water rises" Clucked Tan rushing up a steep rock staircase that led to another den.

Fort struggled up after Tan, while Central stubbornly refused a hand, hauling herself up the rocks with sheer determination. "Not in shape, are we?" Red asked lightly, teasing. The water hissed violently, seeping through the rock blocking the entrance.

*Tan came in to the upper den, and sat in her nest, perfectly at home, she picked up her kit and started repairing her 3 rat hides.*
