Fort grimaced as she started dustbathing too. She felt embarassed by her feather condition.

One final shake and Tan got up and went off among the ruins of the med den, squeezing herself among the branches as she disappeared.

Central lay down in a nearby root hole and started pecking at the plants that grew there. It had been a while since she had eaten. Redfern slept soundly next to her.

Fort felt like falling asleep herself.

Tan came back out of the debris with a wingfull of the only salvageable herbs she could find, she deposited these in a corner of the shelter and suddenly remembered those walnuts she had, which she put beside the herbs.

Fort stepped shakily outside and wandered down to the river to take a drink. This cleared her head a little, until she saw her reflection. She squawked. Something was very wrong...

Tan had skinned one of the rats and was about to go to the river for a drink and to fill up the hide, when she heard the squawk. "Whats wrong?"
