"No!" she cried, shaking her head, "No..." she murmured again, "You're going to die for nothing, that's what's going to happen." she said. "I can't dictate your life," she said, turning away, "Slim as the chances are, I hope you somehow find what you are looking for in this clan, and I'm sorry that we couldn't give it to you." With that, she departed, her eyes bleary as she ran back to camp.

(What I meant was, don't have your character kill him, but let him go. He isn't going to live anyway.)
