His eyes, un-illuminated, stared closely at Ambersong, who lay on a bed of soft lichen. She still had not come around, and that worried him. It worried him a lot. Yet calmness smothered him in its warm folds; his daughter had always been a fighter, and now, he knew, would be no different. With a sigh, he rose to his feet, stretched his wings, winced as he heard a few disjointed snaps, and walked towards the entrance for a breath of fresh air.

scarlet was snoring away, from all the hard work of carrying ambersong, and draging bloodwing, she was just purely burnt out
