(Just wait until I bring in some Highlander chickens . . .

Life's been, well, life. One of my chickens needed a lot of attention this week (had worms, needed antibiotics, and had crop problems). And I think I might have a rooster in my newest batch of chicks
How about you?
(Ooh! Ooh!
)
So sorry about your chicken, Blue. It's always so stressful when that happens. Make sure you give it electrolytes and let it forage for some good vitamin-rich foods to help him/her recover.
Mine's been fine, not terribly exciting, although monotony is sometimes a very good thing.
The chicken's doing great, now. She's out with her buddies in the coop again. I'm very surprised and relieved! The closest I can think is that the antibiotic so soon after the wormer really brought her downhill, and she went into crop stasis. I had to try and pump the food out of her crop for her for a day or two before crop contractions came back.
Monotony? You must be on vacation
Did you ever get to finish that picture of Jayflight?
