Nightwhisper opened his eyes slowly,eyeing the hen. Then,he got up from the spot where he was sun-bathing. Smoothing the dirt from his feathers,he stood up straight,his tail moving only slightly in the morning breeze. For a moment he was quite,glancing at the trees in the distance. Then he finally replied. "Hello." His voice,large yet gentle echoed the clearing.

A soft, warm smile touched her rosy cheeks, "Who are you?" she asked, cocking her head to the side to get a better look at him through her topknot, which now tilted away from her face.
