A medium sized brown shape slipped through the shadows. A strange-looking hen walked out into a lcaering. She had no tail and had two huge protrusions of feathers on the sides of her face. She stood proudly and with a look about her absent in most hens. She had spurs and sharp talons and beak. She looked about her.
