Wings

    My dad and I were looking at our newly hatched chick last night and we looked at the chicks wings and they are TINY, he said diesel[my brother, who HATES chickens named it diesel][my brother works on cars as a personal business] may never fly because of how small, we are talking 4 inch chick; 1 inch wings... i said, it's still growing so we'll wait. could it be true? a chicks wings could be small that he can't fly.

    Its 4 days old, silkie / Golden duckwing OEG and no idea on gender just calling it a he

    Chick wings are puny, yes. It's because they don't have any feathers yet. Wing feathers will pop up soon.

    Chicks don't have to fly, so their wings are very small.

    Their wings will grow as the chicken grows.
