What makes your duck special to you:
Howard was special to us because he grew up on a small farm where my dh meets his crew every day for work. It was the first duck dh got to watch grow from a duckling to adulthood and he became attached to him and he would look forward to his playful drake talk every day. Howard had two buddies at his first home that were killed by a predator, leaving him sad and depressed. He was locked in the chicken pen to keep him safe, but after several months of hubby seeing him so sad and depressed He decided to bring him home and find him some friends.
We brought Howard home and got him all cleaned up and feeling better but he was still lonely. After searching the internet for a suitable friend for him, I reached out here on byc and met @CayugaJana who was kind enough to donate two ladies for him.
Howard was overjoyed and the girls immediately loved him.
Sadly a short time later Howard was murdered by a fox early one morning. It was apparent that he sacrificed his life protecting his girls
Howard had such a fun playful personality he is dearly missed.
To end on a brighter note, I decided to incubate some eggs from his girls and I now have a Rouen/Cayuga cross drake that we named Rain to represent the tears we shed for Howard. Rain is becoming a fine young drake full of Howards unique spirit

Age: 1year and 5 months
Breed: Pekin
Gender: Bill is the hen on the grass and Ted is a drake sleeping in the pan.
What makes your duck special to you: These two are my 1st ducks ever. I named them Bill and Ted because I knew these guys were going to take me on an excellent adventure! My husband brought them home memorial weekend last year in the side bag of the motorcycle. These guys are my heart and sole and life would be so dull without them!! Who knew ducks could have such an impact on us?? I do now!!!

What makes this duck special to me:
Solo was the first egg I got to hatch out of my friends trio. He was the only egg out of 13 set. He as always been the most adventurous duck always willing to be the first duck to explore outside the brooder or the pool.
