My silky chickens are laying eggs as of 02/29/20. Should I remove the eggs and bring into the house or leave it outside in the nest in the coop? 30 degree F. is too cold or it’s ok to leave it alone to hatch. I went to look at last night and hen was sleeping on it at night, but she’s still laying eggs. Anyone with advise about how to hd for eggs at cold weather. Please, only people who live at places with low temperature. I’m in NJ.

As for incubating eggs in the cold, I've never done it. But I've had my share of frozen eggs. Clink 'em together and they sound like marbles. :lau

Keep removing them from under her and store them at room temperature, pointy end down.

If she’s sitting on the occasional egg but still laying it sounds like she’s in the process of beginning to become broody. Mine do this all the time and once fully broody they stop laying and sit on nothing and try to hatch thin air.

Once she’s sat for a few days, then pop them under her during the night.

Thank you.
