Winter is almost over in Texas!

mom'sfolly :

Forty????? Its 23* horrible degrees here with a windchill in the single numbers. This isn't the weather that normally makes me say "God I love Texas" every February.

Its warmer in my home town of Haines Alaska today.

Rushing off to put my shorts in the attic, and work more weather voodoo. At least we haven't gotten hit with the blackouts.

yea it was below 40 here too. In fact below 30 I hate the cold

Don't fall out of your attic!!! I kinda knew a lady who died that way getting her Christmas decorations down. Few weeks before Christmas too, rough on the family!

But I'm not liking the weather forecast. Hasn't been above freezing since.......uh that day it dropped 20* in a matter of hours. Tomorrow it MIGHT get up to 40 they say, but the next week's forecast highs are 31, 27, 28, etc. I am tired of living in the frozen tundra! I much prefer it to freeze at night and at least you can say "well it'll thaw tomorrow afternoon" ....... instead of everything being just as solid at 3pm as it was last night at midnight

Keep up the good work!!

It's 48 degrees here, the mud is in full effect.

The ducks and geese are making their own water parks where ever the choose.
I hate mud.

My man is back in shorts, but the forecasters say that it is going to be cold again by mid-week. This seems like the longest Texas winter I have ever experienced.

I have to clean the coop tomorrow, before it gets cold again.

OK, so my plan is only working short term and for part of the State, so, I guess I really do need to go ahead and put those summer clothes up in the attic to ensure a quick warm up.
It has been beautiful here today and should be tomorrow, but then...we'll all be freezing our collective keisters off again.

C'mon, ya'll if we all pull together and put on our WARMEST clothes, it's bound to be 90 degrees before we know it!

It must work, because two nights ago, I turned the sprinkler on, in the garden, and it has rained, for two days, straight.

Gee, if only going deep into debt, would make you rich.
