Hello everyone, hope you're all staying well and healthy. I am redoing my coop and covering it with 1/2 inch 19 gauge wire cloth. I'll be using staples for the most part but there are areas where crimping sleeves will be needed. I've looked online and I'm still not sure what size crimping sleeves I should use. Can anyone offer advice? Any help is greatly appreciated. 😊

What do you mean by 'staples'?
Typical staple gun staples are not strong enough.

Not sure what you mean by "crimping sleeves" either.
Like J-clips or hog rings?
Would these be to join pieces of mesh where there isn't any wood to connect to?
Neither work real well with the 1/2" openings,
and joining the edge wires is not very strong as welds often break there.

Best to size wire width where you can screw it to wood framing.

Showing us pics of where you need to attach wire might help here.

Ours is stapled to the framing with 3/4" or 1" fence staples, and then 1"x 4" boards are screwed into the framing over that. Also, the lower 4' of the run area has 2"x 4" woven wire also, over the hardware cloth.

The hardware cloth runs vertically, with overlapping seams, so it's pretty secure.
