Too many to count.. I can't tell the hens from the roosters..I would guess about a dozen or more.. we butchered 18 roosters.
so the odds of having hens is increasing..

and when your neighbor cooks those cute little bunnies, let me know and I'll see if I can make it in time for dinner..

you missed my ad on cl for the uko kei chickens ?

somebody else had an ad for an incubator. I am guessing it is an LG..

there is a Toys for Trucks place.. but their prices are high..

Just about ready for dinner here....waiting on the brussels. THey are supposed to be black? (according to the recipe...I dont think I will let them cook quite that long!) THe yams smell yummy as does the pork--all sliced and ready to go! Cranberry Chutney to add to it--LOVE IT! OK--taking them out now! Terri O

Done with dinner...here it is (was)

Yup--it was a good day....I have the critters already locked up and DH is swearing at the Packers...I think I will go to bed! Sweet dreams everyone! Talk tomorrow! TErri O

(PS) it was me that asked about the pallets.

Here are a few pictures of my first lavender split silkie. The Daddy is pure lavender and the mother is either one of my two black silkies or a buff hen.

Cindlady-
FT is bringing us down some ameracauna pullets.. I have a nice ameracauna hen, she doesn't lay colored eggs though, nice light brown/tan ones...You can have her!!
LOL

The Camp also ordered one of those Mc Mury specials. All sorts of mixed up purebred chickens, tophats, feather legs etc. She is going to be getting those from them as well in exchange for some of the bunnies. I will find out what they are and if anyone is interested in them as well.

Quick sign me up for some tophats!!! and throw in a feather leg or two!!
LOL

TerriO.. you should be happy now, Your packers pulled it out of the bag and won !!!

CC, if you are out there,, we have freezer #6 completely full.. I asked Annie where she was going to put 45 more birds ? She said, she would take 40 pounds of blackberries out of one freezer and that should take care of next week's butchering..
Then she goes into the song and dance about how I am going to get rid of so many chickens here, and so many there etc etc.. I am married to the worlds biggest optimist.. LOL

I think I will go to bed early tonight, like right now..

I had one reply for my asian chickens.. It was from a Mexican, from who knows where ? I deleted the reply.. It was dripping with spam.....

see you all tomorrow.. FT, you can have the last post and the first post tonight..

.........jiminwisc..........

Robin, nice pics. Thanks for sharing!
FT, your soup looks divine! Yum! Bunnies. Just what I don't need. Sigh. What sex, how many (17?!?!?!? Really?), are any of them fixed (stupid question, I know)? If she has any Orps or Aussies (hens) that she wants to rehome, I'd be interested.
Welcome back, Raiq. If you can, try to have your house on the market by March. April is the month when people are buying. Good luck.

Sorry you didn't get to stock the freeze.
Ouch, TO! Go get that toe looked at. Glad your pony rides went well. I love Phyllis. She has some neat coloring to her. Nice egg.

Yikes, Carol, I'm glad you didn't have an issue when your brakes went out. Scary indeed. I've had mine fail on more than one occasion, but only one set, not both. It will sure wake you up in a hurry, that is for sure.
Jeez, Jim. Be careful, will ya? Don't want us calling you Stubby, do you? Where exactly are you going with those birds? Freezer #?????
Deb, no, you didn't miss the bash. It is on the 22nd. Love the calf pic!

Between cutting grass & doing other misc. yardwork, DH & I managed to get in a few more bike rides this weekend. Gotta take advantage of the weather since it won't last. All that fresh air sure makes me tired though. Must sleep now. Sweet dreams, all!

I'll see what's in the surprise package !!! I still haven't figured out how I'm going to get the birds down there, car or truck. Haven't found a topper yet for the truck.

No one wants any bunnies ????? For pets.
