Windy Evening All....nice pics thanks for sharing them. tiki thanks for asking....slower recovery than i would like. off to green bay to see the doc tomorrow, prolly know more then? if i only had a left eye i'd be in big trouble. Thank goodness i have a right one to help out. If this is as good as it gets, I can accept that. Like I have a choice, eh.

Cleaned up all the squash from the garden today. I got 2 bucket loads in the tractor today

or was it the wheelbarrow? Oh ya no motor, must be the barrow. It always starts! So far anyway.

I was glad to see the Lions lose one, cause the Pack really doesn't match up well against them. Hope they lose a few more. We always seem to struggle against then. Find out on Turkey Day, and again on New Years! WCC...Brent Farve

Wind raked most of leaves today....like I was gonna rake em anyway.

Good evening everyone! Man, it has been a looong day! Looked at that parrot this morning and ended up talking to the guy for 2 hours! The bird seems not as tame as he said but maybe it was just nervous that I was there. It sure makes a lot of whistles and clicking sounds!
Went to the river (the Rock and the Crawfish) and drowned some worms today. Not a single nibble! Only the second time I have been fishing this year...maybe I will catch something sometime....I hope. But then I have to throw the first one back?
I let the horses out when I got home at 6 and had a little show of them running and bucking. It was comical. You should see them...doesnt even look like I combed them out at all! THey are covered in burdock again...*sigh*...

BigZ--I hope your appointment brings you good news. I cant imagine having blurry eyes! I cant even stand having spots on my glasses, thank God I can wash them off! You are a patient man for sure...well, like you said--not like you have a choice!

Well, Looks like I need to cut dog and cat nails...thrill a minute here let me tell ya! I am very tired too...musta been that staring at the bobber that did it! Doubt it was my work schedule!

good wind calmed down evening, I sold 3 young ducks today.. The guy came from south of Mosinee.. He is looking for some young RI Red pullets; up to a year old.. and some Checkered Giant rabbits and/or some other ------Giant rabbit.. I forgot what.Flemish??. anyhow he wants large rabbits.. I think he mentioned a 3rd,, Callifornia something or other ??.. does anybody know what the heII I am talking about ? I don't..

I know how to make grape jelly, though... 10 pints.. deeelicious.. I was short on juice for a double batch so I used a bit of Welch's grape juice.. It was coagulating in the kettle, so I am confident it will turn out great.. I kept one pint out for imediate use.. peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for supper.. Mom actually requested it.. I asked her how she liked the jelly,, her reply was, "oh, ok I guess.." did I ever mention that Mom doesn't get overly excited ? LOL

First quail egg!!

They are 6 wks, 2 days. Haven't heard crowing yet, maybe they are both girls? Will be intently watching for a second egg...

Jim, a cousin of mine in Eagle River has a flock of RI Reds that just started laying, and she wants to thin the numbers. She'd like to sell some, otherwise she will just butcher the extras. I told her it seems wrong to process young pullets!

Isnt that exciting Amy? I am waitin formy new ones to start layin. I know yours hatched just before mine so it should be any day now. Do you still have yours in the house or did you move them out? If yours turn out to both be hens I would be happy to provide you with a roo!

I was just out to lock up the birds and I had left the door to the pigeon pen open to see if "Wild Blue" would go back in with his parents...nope, but one of the parents was out! She was easy to catch--didnt think she would even o out cause guess what? Yup--they hatched 2 more babies today or yesterday! That is their 6th clutch for the season!!! I wonder if they are going to continue thru the winter? Maybe I will have to butcher pigeon instead of quail...they sure are a bit larger! So I tried to catch WB but the net had a hole in it and he slipped out! Dam^! Catching muskovies in those nets really takes it's toll on them! Now I have two nets with holes...OK--now to bed for me...I saw people had posted so I had to comment....yes Jim, undoubtedly I was holding my face wrong...and so was everyone else on the river today!

I'm so glad you guys enjoy them! I used to sit out with that male for like a 1/2 hr at a time and just pet him and talk to him. He'd even crawl in my lap. The jealous female is another story. He's so fixated on people you may never get a fertile egg!

Someone needs like a 5 week old buff and white kitten, right? My brother has been hearing kittens crying outside his house for a few days. Today they found one very thin and hungry in his yard. Something must have happened to the mother.
