Since we're talking about putting things in the fridge that don't belong there . . . I put the ice cream in there and didn't notice for like 3 days. My kids were very upset and couldn't understand why we couldn't just refreeze it.

I'm trying to treat my chickens with Ivomec pour on. Too bad it eats the numbers off the syringe. I have no idea how much I'm putting on.

I'm not too picky on my feeds in the summer because my chickens free range. But in the winter they need animal protien. I'm considering doing my own mix. I printed of a soy free recipe yesterday that has field peas, red wheat, fish meal, sesame, flax, and a bunch of other stuff. The only problem is, if I buy it and mix it myself and everything comes in 50 lb bags it will make like 800 lbs of feed.

JVLS: I got my seramas from the ladies in winter... They are... Unique People... I took my 7 year old with me on a visit and walked into their house and was frustrated that they smoked and had almost 300 chicks hatched in their basement. It wasn't cruel or anything, just odd. All the chickens lived together in yard and they bought most of their eggs from other breeders and hatched them out, whatever they didn't sell went into the coop and they sold them off as well.

A little odd process, but they were not pleasant people to talk with.

BBP when the ivomec eats the numbers off thats pretty scary huh? I tried eprinex whihc seems to be milder, but, then I found out it didnt work

So much for that!

Do any or all of you 'guys' get your deer tested for CWD prions? I read a couple books on that and really messed with my head thinking about our food source

Kids are off today, had yesterday off too- took them to work with me to clean a unit- they love school

trying to finish making a cake- it's called Fudgy Pudgy Cake from Taste of Home recipes- found it on-line. It is a 3 layer cake with a filling(way to glue layers together)which is a good thing becuse there was problems getting the layers to come out of the pan! Now waiting for part of the filling to cool completely before mixing together so it doesn't melt the butter..... of course my SIL is waiting to come and have a piece with us(her DD made one this summer and shared with us)

suppose I best go get some paperwork done so that it doesn't pile up

kids are wanting to make carmel apples and carve the pumpkins today- hopefully DH will be home at a better time tonight- all week it's been after 7 pm by the time he is home, everyone wants their outside work done.... today he is repairing a brick wall.

on the broody hen, not sure if they are able to tell if the eggs are fertile or not or if they just get the urge to sit and that's how it goes

Hi Jim glad your back. couldn't imagine life without ya!

cind that was funny about the pills, I started LOLing and my kids were all like "WHAT!"
so seriously, is there no concern that you took his pills? will they not hurt you?

I so should not be home today, we should be at the camper closing up but I had my checklist of things to do before we went and noone wanted to help me so here we are, waiting till DH gets home so we can go. We were going to leaving him here to finish the week up at work but now we are all going together. oh and last weekend we were going to go but DH was offered to work on Sat so needing the money he worked overtime right? WRONG! the week is Saturday though Fri which means it wasn't added to his already 50 hours last week instead it will be added to his hours this week in which he is getting out early today, so last saturday is NOT all over time hours. If I would have known that

anywho gotta go DH will be here in 45 mins expecting to go.

how much you wanna bet he'll take a shower and and and..... and we wont be outta here till atleast 4!?

After watching Private Practice, I had a dream that I was pregnant. I was upset because I didn't want to start over. My youngest just entered kindergarten. So it was more like a nightmare.
