So much more but can't member. L just walked out to go in for xmas with Santa and dang near fell on her butt. Guess it's freezing rain here. Might have to add a little travel time for my trip south. Called dad yesterday moms coming home today. I couldn't believe it! Guess there's 2 blocked arteries but her Dr won't put stints in. Dads getting a second opinion but I'm thinking that the walls are too thin. She's 79. He didn't say what the % of blockage was. Remember when I told you that Btwo wouldn't go in at night because one of the slw's would stand in the doorway to pick on her. For about a week now Peatwo has been keeping that slw cornered so she can come in.

Good morning! What a good roo you have DrH! Lots of chatting going on on here after I left to go to the banquet! There were a lot of folks there. Good conversation. The slide presentation was kinda boring...they left each slide up too long (like 10 seconds) I got chewed out by the Extension Agent cause our club charter isnt in yet and it was due on Dec 1st. Oh well, maybe they should increase my pay?
lau.gif
Guess I need to work on that today hey? Cant let the club down...

One of my BCs is tossing the tennis ball for herself! It is hysterical watching her. I guess she figures if no one wanted to play then she would just amuse herself! Oh good DH is getting up...I guess I will get served my coffee right here!
ya.gif
The JRT is sleeping on the recliner between my legs and I would "hate" to disturb her!
CC--That bunny looks just like our Dutch that lived until 13~she had that same thing happen to her too. I wonder if that is more common with that kind? Brunswick!

I LOVE it! Maybe FT should get one like that to go along with her niece's bowling outfit?
lau.gif
I am glad that we are not the only family to have multiple names for pets...one of our cats has THREE!

I havent seen the cat on the porch again
sad.png
Something is eating the food I put out though...maybe I oughta get a trail cam for my porch? It is prolly a raccoon my luck! Speaking of critters...when I went in the barn to feed yesterday I could tell that the skunk was back!
sickbyc.gif
I guess the hay stack must make a nice comfy spot to sleep? I guess they arent sleeping for the winter yet. Do they hibernate or are they like squirrels? I guess I should look that up!

DH didnt blow a gasket when I suggested putting the huge TV on the buffet... I do have to get it back in off the porch though...then I need to think what I can do with our giant pie safe armoire....I still really like it and wouldnt mind having it somewhere but I have no idea HOW we will get it moved into another room! I will have to think where we could even put the thing! Our house is too small!

Well I guess I should think about breakfast...hmmm---think I have some LO potatoes...that and a few eggs might just hit the spot! Have a great rainy day everyone! I dont think I will be attending the Christmas parade...now if this was snow....Terri O

Good Rainy Morning All!
Well, the bad news is MIL did in deed break her ankle. According to her, she stepped in a hole and twisted her ankle on the way down. Now, MIL is 84 and extremely independent. Dh and BIL talked and were briefly discussing the situation. MIL lives in her house with my nephew but he works a lot. The Niece is around, is very attentive to her Grandam (MIL) and does help out but, sadly, she is a drug addict so no one in the family trusts her. MIL will not even consider going in a Nursing Home-that will be a battle to even mention it. BIL and SIL have offered to bring her to their house ("in town") but MIL doesn't want to give up her independence. MIL Lives in an affluent but country area. DH is planning on going to Cali in Jan. and I have a feeling they will have a family pow wow to discuss options. I'm thinking they may have a care taker for her. I like to think a good sales pitch to MIL is Assisted Independence!! I'll have to send her a Get Well card....

Well, every one is good here, so far two eggs today. The Orloffs are having fun in the rain-everybody else is in the coop. I guess this weather in nothing compared to a Russian winter! Or so says my dh!

So, here are the pics I promised the other day:

Merry Christmas From the Girls at Lazy Acres Chicken Retirement Home:

good morning, I see that there are 4 poults outside.. I missed putting them in last night,, I wonder where they were hiding?

Annie's hair dresser gave her a cold, and now I am sneezing.. I haven't had a cold for longer than I can remember, DAMh it !!

I did good at cards last night,, think I will buy some chicken feed with it..

I better go up and warn Annie that the roads might be slick.. She is going to Merrill

So since those were some of the chickies, I thought it only fair to post pics of the rabbits. The last time I posted them or even took pics of them, they were babies. So here they are:

Here is Cali the Californian. She was supposed to be the heard buck, Cal, but he ended up a she. She is super sweet and loves head scritchies:

003-1.jpg

Here is the Champagne D'Argent. I called her FiFi but I hate that name so I've been calling her Maggie. She is not a outgoing as Cali or Kiwi but she is sweet in her own way:
002.jpg

Here is a new one I picked up at the 4-H/FFA Youth Auction at the Walworth County Fair. I named her Lucy (after Lucy Lawless!) and she is a Black New Zealand who won the fryer class. She is very wild and skittish. Very funny little rabbit but so far I have to say I'm not a pure breed New Zealand fan. I had a red NZ that was just like her in temperment although he was mean and Lucy is not. But look at those eyes! Wild Wild Wild!!!!
001.jpg

And here is Kiwi! He was supposed to be a doe but ended up the heard buck! He is awsome! Supper sweet and extremely friendly. LOVES banana chips and getting kisses and his big buck cheeks scratched. He is a Californian/New Zealand cross. He had none of the wildness my NZ and had the Californian temperment. He looks a little like CC's Brunswick! LOL!!

MOM! But that camera down and give my cheek scratches! NOW!!!

I am back, It is not real slippery yet outdoors. Annie is going to bring a can of gas for the tractor.

Sorry to bother you guys with old jokes.. I just thought that some of the young people might not have heard them.. I promise, no more jokes.. I will post only when I have something positive to contribute..

My dial up is going nuts today.. I am just about done fighting with it.. it puts me in a bad mood..

I'm off to find something positive..

..........jiminwisc..........

Here is a pic from one of my cameras out in the carport. It is a pic of our coop with the pet door and Moose looking in. You can see he's a little large for the door, but we got the door long before we got him.

Sorry for the poor quality.

Here is another one to see the difference in size between him and the door. But he manages to squeeze his big a$$ through it.

Awwwww! Sweet bunny pics, MLH! You're right, Kiwi's face looks kinda like SHADOW.
lau.gif
But his coloring is just like Lucy, when he isn't shedding, that is.

I just love the coloring on Kiwi and Fifi! Beautiful buns you've got there.

It's foggy here now at 12:21pm. Freezing rain is to come first, then the snow. Good thing I don't have any livestock at the moment as the driveway and porch were ice covered this morning. I took a swan dive (not by choice) attempting to get my paper this morning. Left it in the box LOL...if I had any poultry, it would have made for a challenge just getting to them.

Oh no! You know the chicken run I made in to a "greenhouse" for the winter? I told one of my coworkers that if by some chance they went on sale through the distributor that I might want one. I saw one laying in the back room today and asked if someone had ordered it. She said "yeah, Kara said you did". Uh-oh! So now I may have to make another greenhouse for my other coop. Chickens are expensive when they're spoiled!
