The nicest roos I ever delt with are the Buckeyes...they are just plain nice and friendly.

Fire sure feels good tonight...dang winter.

TO, pumpkin cheesecake sounds divine! Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if any of my eggs hatch & they are roos, would you want them?

They would be half Dom........... And if they're all roos, you can have Moose too.

SJ, no, I've never had either of those breeds, nor was I referring to roos, if that was what you meant. I know banty roos have a huge attitude compared to their size. But Dominique roos can be very, very well mannered. I received my Dom roo as an adult and he is very meek, almost "chicken", towards people. With handling as a chick, I'm sure they would be very pleasant adults.

DH and I were laughing as we listened to the high lights of the SF foot ball game... wow.. and so much for Tim Te-bow OUT!!! get it bow out!! guess its just me...

I found something for FT... Although I might be closer than her.. if she really wants them.. she will have to let me know so I can arrange to go up to get them...

Hi all!

Keep those chicks coming DrH! How many eggs did you start with?

I have 4 birds in the house!

The guinea with the abscess that won't go away (I'm wondering if it isn't a sinus issue?). Tiny who's croup seems very large (but mushy). Loren (the one that got stuck but is still limping (at least she didn't break a wing) and I took Roadrunner out of her solitude and brought her in. She's still limping but is eating and laying just fine. Beginning to wonder if she wasn't faking the limp just so she didn't have to go back in the big coop with the roos!

Guess I'm going to have to spread some straw in the runs and chase out the chickens! None of them have been out since the snow!!

Wouldn't be so bad but it messes the coop quicker.

Gee, I have a boring life... nothing much to say... lol.

Wcc, I saw those. I'd be interested but I don't need any more male ducks either !!! If I didn't have the one Mallard and two Rouens in with the Runners I could make my own baby Runners. I have all different colors. For the life of me I can't remember if I have a white. I think so but not sure if it is a hen or Roo. I'd hatch some out but I don't want any more ducks in the house. Maybe in the summer !!
Cind, Your sounding alot more like me. Chickens in the house and Roosters with their own pen.

TO, that was so thoughtful about the pumpkin cheesecake !!! I'll take the recipe, sounds good. I still have a pie pumpkin I could use to make it !! YUM

Just moved one egg to the hatcher. I thought I had more then two eggs that were put in on the 27th. They might have been clears that I already took out. I was greeted to cheerful little peeps, well more like

Little black silkie chick now all alone in the hatching incubator with one egg that I can hear is pipping !!

LMAO... FT I think I caught your roosterits! Lacey's hatch was 4 out of 5 roos! I sure hope Prettyboy and George have girls in 'em! Glad your hatch is doing well.

OK, from what I read, if I have it straight, if you breed a blue egg layer with a brown egg layer you might get green eggs?

Very Good Morning Everyone! Went to bed and there were 8 pips got up at 4:30 5 chicks 9 more pips!

We're on a roll! Have a shoe box warming up in the brooder when I first checked the temp before putting Samborena in there it was 100*. Think I'll move the new chicks in there to dry. Samborena will be happy she's been lonely

HO is still only pipped. I gotta go be back soon.

WOOHOO the one that I thought was DOA is movin! WHHOOOHHHHOOOOO!!!!!!!! Now come on HO!

I know that now I won't be able member what I typed. I'm so cited! Cind had 6 clears out of 36 but I know I put some in the bator anyway will give TO a count of the clears in a couple of day Did I say WHHOOOHHOO yet? I'm so cited! And TO guess what go ahead guess........ To late the duck egg is a chicken or a very very early duck. WOOOHHOOO!!!!! I'm so cited! The 6 that hatched this morning are almost dry. I put S in with them made her less lonely. Have 4 more in the bator almost zipped and ready to pop and so many pipped I can't count! Cause I'm crossed eyed with delight! WOOOHOOOO!!!!! My feet hurt! I'll be back! Turn off your puters
