Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Here is where they stayed. You are right the food was very good. http://www.hintznorthstar.com/index.html

The problem was the sign said they don't take debit cards, credit card or checks !!!!

My sister was treating but she never has cash LOL. I left my "cash" on the kitchen counter. So it made you very aware of the prices when you had to figure out how much you could spend !! LOL Plus when someone is buying you dinner you kind of watch the prices.
So I had Onion strings (or whatever they called them there) and Chicken strips. OK CC no comment on my healthy choices. Oh and decaf coffee.
My BIL came in from the lake from fishing to see the baby and have dinner with my sister and Addie. He had the Queen Prime Rib which was on special and a bargain for $19.99 which being the special was very reasonable but I don't eat Prime any more. I used to order it every time I went out when I was younger, don't know why I don't care for it anymore.
My sister also had the chicken strips and spring rolls. The spring rolls were very good too !! It all was very good.
Addie had a Grilled Cheese and fries, $6.99. No kids menu.
Steak and Shrimp was $34.99. Now that I would have liked !!! LOL
Very good food though. And the restaurant itself was very very nice and very clean.

Only bad part about the place was the stairs on the outside of the building. Very steep and there was no railing on the last bottom stairs. When you only have one peddle on the ground it ain't easy or carrying a 1 yr old doesn't make it easy either to make it up or down ! LOL I'm glad there wasn't anyone sitting at the table next to the window at the bottom of the steps since I was hanging on to the window sil on my way down.

Oh and their parking lot !!! When I left I had to sneak out because Addie was sleeping in the room were the door was. No problem. Then when I backed up it went down hill. Well, my poor car couldn't make it up the slight incline. I tried and tried. No Luck. Called everyone. No Answer. D@mn cell phones. Couldn't go back up the stairs and knock or I'd wake the baby. ArggghhhHH. Finally I got a hold of my sister and she sent her SIL down. In the mean time two snowmobile-rs came out of the restaurant and were trying to push me up the incline. No luck, car slid sideways !!! So Rob got his truck, after he unhooked his snowmobile trailer and pulled me up. He stopped and asked if I thought he should pull me up to the road, Hwy K. Before I could answer, he decided he had better keep us connected and sure enough I followed him up the driveway and at the next incline he was pulling me up the hill again.
I think I need my own truck !!! LOL It was a long drive home. Over 60 miles and with headlights that aren't to bright made it seem even longer.lol
Still pooped out. Anyway that was my short story...... made long..... as usual !!!!! But I'm glad I'm not the only long poster....... TO ..... LOL

Thanks for the links on egg textures!!! Great reading....as far as the aprons-still not happy campers but they were settling down a little at bedtime. (chicken lingerie huh??? LOL)

You know, I do distinctly remember DrH referring to us (more likely himself) as a bunch of sickos. Guess he never fails to disappoint, eh?

just took thge pullets out of the brooder for a little bonding and the French Guineas went abolutely crazy. I tried and will continue to handle the Guineas but they were over a week old when bought them and they are not fans of being held. Anyway, these are my first Guineas and is that what I have to look forward too? I sat here and just laughed, until the GF came down stairs and wondered what was going on.

Hey Elaine, congrats on the pup! My in-laws had a Australian cattle dog (blue heeler)/black lab mix for 17 years. He was the best dang dog they ever had, easy to train and smart as a whip. That stinker would sneak into the chicken coop for egg snacks during the day. He would take the egg out to the driveway and toss it around on the gravel until it split or cracked. Just one of his many tricks!

The FVTC event was wonderful like usual, a lot of tasty food! Always happy to contribute to a scholarship fundraiser.

NOT looking forward to the snow on Tuesday; NOT a good day to drive an hour away to test drive a car!

I think I'll keep my mouth shut on the while insane chicken palace in Madison........

I need to clean the main bathroom, let it get so bad I don't want to do it now

Wish chickens would clean!

yea, as bad as the kids were... can't even get 'em to clean their own room! Well, best get to it... now's the best time to do it, while everyone else is in bed. Yep, all I have to do is get up and get to it! As soon as I'm done with this post! Oh! The chickens did go out this afternoon!!!

Enough snow melted by the coop that with a little bread I got them to come out to play and do important chicken things. All the broodies seem to be done for now, now I just need to convince one to go broody for Mar.11 or April first!

It should be interesting to see how the hatch would compare to those of you using a 'bator! Humm... guess I should go.... Night all!

OK, bathroom clean, fire stoked, chicken mash made, dogs have been out.... now I'm too wound up to sleep!

I don't think that the CHANTIX is helping any either! And I haven't quit yet... but I'm way down from the pack and a half I was doing. I knew it would be harder than "average" but was hoping to be a bit further along by now.

Think it boosted the "night sweats" too grrrr. Well, now that I said more than you wanted to know.... I'll try the sleep thing ...again.... night all! (I hope)
