9 pages to read. Maybe later. DAS/Jim after I posted that it came back to me while outside, Jim asked. My bad! Starvin Marvin here so it's eat and maybe a nap. Will catch up tomorrow.

OK babies pictures... ripped off Amyables idea for their photos shoot...

Lavender Orpington pullet, and Black Split Lav pullet

Gold Laced Orpington pullets

Mystery Orpingtons...
the brown one is a slightly different brown than the gold laced. Came from a labeled egg that was from a chocolate roo over a buff. My only roo in this bunch...
The other one came from an egg not labled. a possible split, but i dont think so because it doesnt have the white markings that the splits have. So Im not sure, but its a pullet...

ooooo, how pretty!!!! Ok, everyone has to stop showing all the cute chicks or my hubby is going to be mad at me when I smuggle some babies into the coop

thank you all for the advice on the ducks I will be sure an pass it along to my GF, I have already realized this will not be my decision. We do have a bunch of duck eggs in the incubator, around 60 muscovy and 12 peking. I think she is hoping to get a couple of those ducks, although I am just hatching them for a friend intrade for fence. We will end up with 3 or 4 for sure and she is saying muscovy.

Woke up this morning real early and we were out kinda late visiting some friends and playing cards. Didnt feel very well so we are watching fishing and hunting shows with the fire going and using the wind to dry some clothes.

Nice turkeys, and a double is awesome! I had to wait for the bird I shot, or I may have pulled a double also!

Going to be a tough week next week, I lost a friend in a car accident and our office managers mother died this weekend.

Angie... I'm getting pretty decent at feather sexing. It also is easier when there is one chick that is very different from the rest. "Little girls wear ruffles" the pullets wings will show a second row of feathers, aka "ruffles"' for a very short period of time on their primary wing. I'm not perfect at it,but I have a pretty decent percentage, a good 80% of the time I'm right.

I went to a 4H poultry meeting today and we played a game where you had to identify 35 breeds of birds. They had pictures of ducks, geese and turkeys. I was the only person to get them all correct. I think I have a problem.
