Good morning, Rain= DH home YAY! now he can work upstairs all day. after the garbage gets taken out of course.
calls are doing good!
BF4M no whinery here and I got 5 kids lol then DH visited the dr. some people told us we shouldn't take that step that it was limiting God! lol, I told them that ALL things are possible with God! who can argue that? I do think sometimes that a baby would be nice, but them I just invite my cousin over and that SHATTERS that thought. lol I love the stage of life we are in. everyone is capable of dressing themselves. lol

gotta run..... ps my adult male call duck found himself a girlfriend..... in the back ditch..... He likes the wild ones! lol

Today is the day! That's it. I'm kicking the Wheatens out of the brooder. They are completely feathered out. It's going to be warm. They can get on their big chicken pants and get over it! I swear I have the biggest batch of wussies over here...!

Good morning and a big welcome to the new folks! Sit down and read a while! Sheesh--43 posts for me to read this morning! WiChCh...is the pic in the middle the same dog? Must be one of those that looks different from each side if it is...I thought maybe that one was one of yous. SO is he going to your friends' farm then? Not back to the original people right? How do you get hooked up with this stuff BTW? We need to chat about a few things too...regarding the BASH weekend! (and a few other things too )

The quail are installed in the chick TV--there were a few little tiny ones that could not go into the area I wanted. I mean they are really little! It is hard to believe that they are from the same hatch. So here is a pic of the segregation....I thought it was pretty funny!


Now they have changed sides and the quail are under the heat lamp. The chicks take a walk over there and cuddle. The tiniest quail sleep under the chicks! All is peaceful in my mixed species world!

So that eye thing that your birds have cind and aply...could it be a blocked tear duct? That came into my mind when you said it was just clear junk in there. Have you tried a general anti boitic? Great idea to message Dawg...he sees to be up on even the weird stuff!

I am laying low today..had a momentary loss of judgement last night and thought I could ride my daughter's pony...yeah...NOT! SHe bucked me off and knocked off my glasses...I landed on my head and pulled a hamstring. I am one sore puppy today for sure. I had to call me dear neighbor to come and help me find my glasses...I think I need to bake him a pie today...

Well--I am going to try and feed the birds....I also want to plant my potatoes but the tiller might be a little too much for me today...

Still a Good Morning! Didn't read anything looks like I'm waay too far behind now. SORRY! Watched the weather last night and then listened to it rain. Knew the birds and the woods would be quiet. Still raining on the way to the blind. Then the rain quit, the wind died down and the sun came out! Had a hen come in for nearly an hour, thought oh good live decoy. She eventually walked farther out back down a rough road I cut, 10 minutes later came in came this Tom. Didn't weigh it 9" beard, 1" spurs!

Turkey huntins over.

Really enjoyed it though. Should really spend more time out there NOT WORKING! And spend more time with the chickens and......

Mmmmmmmmm Turkey kabobs....nice work, I was thinking about all the turkey hunters this morning when I was laying in be listening to it pour out this morning.

Somebody shot my turkey this morning. (Mine as in I liked hearing him every day. Not my pet, not one I planned on shooting) He was always gobbling across the river in the evening and I'm pretty sure someone smoked him this morning. I'll be listening tonight but I'm not expecting to hear him.

Afternoon all!
Not much going on here! Just got done with Dead Locked by Charlaine Harris. Now I have to wait another year for the next and final book in that series to come out....Unless something goes really wronky, the author was pretty blatant about who will be with whom at the end...at least I hope....some characters need a serious HEA when it's all said and done....
Next up is Rick Riordan's book....I've got to got download it from Amazon yet.....

Other then that, everyone is good here. The dogs are all napping and the Girls are finally quiet.
Well, I should go check in the stew I'm making for dinner....

nice day in the north too wet to do field work,,,did create a few more flats for later plantings, made another 100 soil blocks for cukes, squash, whatever,,,,,germinated AG pumpkin seeds, late by a week on those

watched the 8 wk old Marans roos chest bump,,funny stuff,,,then one of the pullets walks in and breaks it up

the fools hatch almost made the grand escape,,,,4 of them were on top of the board I have blocking the door

Early Evening Everyone....what a nice day outside here today. Hope we have weather this nice for the Bash. Was able to get a few chores outside done today.

Congrats on your Turkey Doc...way to go...tasty turkey in the future for you and L.

I still need to spread manure on the gardens and have them tilled. I have the seeds bought and just need to get the plants from the amish greenhouse yet...plenty of time yet to get things done. If everything is planted by june first, it will be just right.
