I don't even know where to begin. Read all of the posts and don't remember squat other than
I WISH I COULD HAVE MADE IT TO THE BASH !!!!
When Amy called to ask if we were going to be at the white elephant I was Spread out in front of the fan....... NAKED !!!!
I am still so P!SSED OFF that we couldn't make it !!!
First off the fence is still not working. I think DH gave up on it. I need not mention he started way to late on the project. Last Wed when I came home from the laundry mat (I washed out sleeping bags) I thought he would have been working on the fence. No he had gone out and dug up 4 tamarak trees, 9 lilacs and 2 or 3 other pines. So I know he was excited to go to the bash to !!
He said he would get the fence done Thursday. He worked overtime everyday so he could get out early on Friday. Well, he did and started on the fence mid day. Finally I went out there and realized he was far from done. He had the wire getting tangled up like christmas tree lights. Frenchie to the rescue.
Then he couldn't find the crimpers to connect the wires so he was using the pliers and wire cutters. I didn't think that was going to works so I pulled as hard as I could (which is probally 1/100,000 as much as my drafts could pull) and they pulled apart. Thank goodness I had bought different connectors (I think ahead, he doesn't) the day before. So cut all the connectors that he had already put on and redid them. By this time it's evening. Then by the time we finally got all the wire up and connected it to the charger, he told me to touch the fence. I said no way. I always touched the other fence but I wasn't going to touch this 12 1/2 gauge wire. So he did !!! NOTHING !!!
I had suggested that we just hook up the charger to the fence that was up there but NO he said he wanted to do it right !!!!!
So in order to add the 12.5 g wire he had to cute and splice around the arches that went over 3 gates !!! Need I say more it was to late to just hook the charger up to the already existing fence that was already there (which he had never hooked up before).
So one thing snowballing into another by the time we were done wiring and hooking it up it was almost 2am. In the mean time I was in severe pain. At this time I was almost unable to walk. My prosthesis was rubbing and bothering me so bad but I kept thinkig it won't take to much longer. Yeah right.
Then came in the house, cleaned all my brooders, gave enough food and water for the next 1.5 days and before I knew it the sun was coming up and I took a shower and headed for bed. His plan was to get up and start working on the fence and feed and water all the other critters before we left for the bash.
Then there was this problem. He left work early on Friday so they handn't brought him his check up from Antigo.............. Dah think he would have thought to have gone and got it......... NO. At 4pm I said where's your check. He said probably in Antigo. Do I want to go get it (this was Friday) well I can't cash it and his boss was sponsering a crash derby so I said by the time I get down there he won't even be there. So Saturday I said why don't you go get your check and deposit it and get some cash for the trip. Well by the time he left and went to get it the bank was closed !!!! Here's another

Oh and when he went to throw some wash in he came upstairs and asked how to get the washer going ??????? WHAT it was his washer before I met him, what in the H3LL is he talking about ??? Well it is the front loading type, it will fill with water but won't start tumbling now. His comment, cause WE (pointing a finger at me I'm sure) make to big of loads. Here's another one for ya
So anyway on Saturday when I got up it was blazing hot. I looked down at my thigh and I knew I had a water blister on it from working out in the heat on Friday but had no idea how big and severe it was. It was at least 4" by 1". The biggest water blister I have ever ever had in the 41 years I'm been wearing one !!!! GD when I say I'm in pain I'm in pain

So needless to say I couldn't put my prosthesis on and still haven't. Anyone remember how much rug burns hurt, well multiply that times xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx It hurts and I'm no sissy !!!
THEN (and you thought that was all) I hop on the ATV and go out and check his progress on the fence to see if we would still be able to maybe make it to the bash late. MY ATV QUIT. When you go to start it it just clicks at a solonoid (sp). Nothing !!!!
So he goes and fetch's his ATV.
Finally he gave up on the fence and came in the house. I said do you want to maybe just drive down and sit by the campfire Saturday night and just come home afterward? Before I even could ask I answered my own question...... Nope, no money CAUSE THE CHECK DIDN'T MAKE IT IN THE BANK !!!!! Here's another one for ya !!!!

I do have to admit I spent some extra money on Thursday buying DVD's (to make copies of dvd's), and a new GPS (half price on clearance) and a mixer to make my protien shakes, and a bunch of stuff to make green pea salad and kidney bean salad (all GF) for the bash thinking that his check would be DEPOSITED on Friday. So there would have been enough to get us there on Saturday, but maybe not home !!! LOL
BTW I did find and buy two jars of mayo and salad dressing from Aldi's. I was quite impressed that so many of their producst are now labeled Gluten Free as well as Lactose Free. They seem on the ball there. So anyone that needs GF and wants so save a buck or two shop at Aldi's
Anyway, yesterday (Mon) I decided I'll take dh ATV around the pasture and look for shorts in the wire etc. TG I came up towards the house for a drink, his ATV ran out of gas !!!! Still had to climb the hill on crutch's but wasn't as bad as hopping through the weeds and up the steeper hill. Called it quits for the day then. Ducks were in heaven though, I had left the water running all day then to both pools of water !!!
So no CC I wasn't arrested for doing any bodily harm to dh, actually there wasn't even much verbal harm !!! LOL It was to hot and I know he really was trying.
In the mean time I opened the door yesterday and my Belgian and two ponys are hanging out by the back door, along with two of the six goats and they were all standing right next to my Great Pyrenees. He is such a good sport of a dog!!!
Wish I had my camera then.
So once I heal up I'll be back in business, I hope it doesn't take to long !!! I want to plant pumpkins this weekend but don't want to do it with an open wound. I made the mistake of putting antibiotic ointment on the blister and putting a bandage on it overnight just to keep infection out, well took the bandage off the next morning and it took several layers of skin with it !!! OUCH !!!! Worse then when I started.
So you ask where is Frenchie ??????? LAYING in front of he Fan........... NAKED !!!
Oh and eating the GF pea salad I made !!! It was delicious !!!
Bl4 I'm so sorry to hear about having to put your kitty Squirel down. That is so sad and hard to do, I've done it several times now over the years. It doen't get any easier but you did the right thing by him.
