Don't forget to remember! FFF sounds excellent as always! Still gonna try prefrying some taters for HO- fry's someday. BBP I too keep fresh food and water for ALL the feathered friends 24/7. OH FT that's terrible! Have to agree you guys got something from the food! Hope your not laying neckid it front of the fan. If you are think headfirst. Hope you and ET recover quickly! Had salmonila once, thought I was gonna die.

but not too hard!

good FFF to all, we transferred chicks this AM.. they all are enjoying their new more spacious digs..Annie even kicked the day old keets out to the chicken coop brooder.. 36 of them..

I had to chuckle at the youngsters in the brooder pen outside.. they just could not stay awake with the sun shining on them.. a couple of the smaller ones squeezed through the 1" x 1" squares in the gates.. I had to round up 3 of them.. we left the 5 quails in with the smaller chicks. they are only slightly larger than most of the chicks.. we did not do an accurate count , but there are about 275 to 300 chicks and guineas..

I am weaning he older ones over to ground oats and corn.. they took to it without any hesitation..
right now they have their choice of meat maker or oats/corn..

I wonder if diet has something to do with pasty butt ? I have only occasional problems with day old to week old chicks.. and they usually just grow out of it..

Hey, lighten up on that lady who lost all of her stock.. we don't know all the facts.. as far as hearing what is going on, my coop could blow up like a stick of TNT and I prolly wouldn't hear it..
and as far as protecting her animals,, I know of more than one person even on cheese heads who have had their own dogs kill their birds..

and I see nothing wrong with her trying to sell back the feed she doesn't need.. I know people who buy things today and return them tomorrow.. and so do all of you..

I did not get the tomatoes transplanted.. tomorrow is always a good time for things like that..

that is a nice big tractor for your tiny lot.. get a sickle mower for it and your lawn will be mowed in about 5 minutes.. when we first moved into our house, we didn't have a single tree or bush anywhere.. I had a Farmal Cub with a 5 ft sickle mower.. I would put the end of the mower against the foundation of the house and go all the way around. then I just kept swinging wider with each round until the lawn was all mowed.. 5 minutes and I was done.. then I got real stupid and planted trees.. what was I thinking ??

wiCC,, who were you referring to that was earning her keep? the leghorn hen, or Annie?

the puppies can easily rest their elbows on the boards across the gate into their pen.. It won't be long until the first one accidentally tips themselves out..

OH oh, I see keet #37 at the door.. 37 divided by 49 = about 80% ? doing it in my head.. you can use a calculator ..

WOW! That's early to be for sure! The kids just got back from their FFF--DH had LO casserole from work today and I had scrambled eggs and the rest of the beans from the bash--MMMM!
SO now I have my popcorn and I am off to bed too! Nighties! Terri O

Special thanks to the veterans this Memorial Weekend, not only for fighting to keep us free, but willing to lay down your life your others..the ultimate payment.

No Do Overs for the bash...simply come every year and improve the results. I'm still trying....glad I'm not alone CC!

bigz
x2!!!!!! Best wishes and special thanks to all of our vets, past & present!

You're not alone, Bigz! The bash is so much fun, I wish we had more than one a year.

Bl4, nice tractor! We have a '53 Farmall Super C, and I just love that beast! DH pulled a UPS truck out of an icy ditch last winter in no time flat. There is nothing quite like "old iron", IMHO.

TO, my oldest DD would like you to know that the gosling is doing well. It picks on the other three babies since it is a week older than the others, and it has pooped on the BF. Good goose.

Another he!!ish day at work.... tomorrow will be even more fun.... I had better get to bed.

Nah, back to the Shades books!

I have an opportunity to buy a GQF cabinet for $100. It needs a new wafer and auto waterer, but for $100 I could get it back up to par with $60. It comes from a friend that already has one but is looking to get some cash quick for a couple of projects. Is this a good buy and what do I need to be cautious about on this model?

Thanks,
KEN

buy, buy, buy, I thought I got a deal for $200 no auto waterer, I found a snap on or off valve and just run water in as needed and spent very little money.
if you dont want it I will be driving up through at the end of june and will pick it up!
