I too am soaked! silly rain could have waited another 15 mins. and I would have been done but NOOOOO! lol I got my 1 and only flower bed planted. no need for watering lol all I didn't get done was putting in my garden decorations. I redid the border too this year with some kind of big rocks lol maybe I'll take a pic. maybe not lol Now my arm hurts again. dumb me! BTW i did go see the dr. he's sending me to the specialist (DUH) he figures he'll take xrays and some other scan to see if nerves are getting piched. Ya THINK?

jim what kind of chicks is she selling? are you selling anything if she's selling so many? lol

my silly 'scovie still hasn't hatched out any ducklings? I thought they were due ANY day now? I did see yesterday that 1 was internally piped.

Thanks for the hugs... it was just a rough 6 hours

So far the rest of the day hasn't been bad. Hope young son gets back at a decent time, he needs to put the air conditioners in. Neil and I can't do heat and we'll have a couple of hot ones before it cools off again.

Bl4... you got to give your daughter coo-does for getting right on here and asking for help! Hope the little guy recovers.

Well, back to work... turkey pot pie for supper.

anyone watch the debacle/debate last night?

been hanging around waiting for an egg customer that called to order I need to run to the store (hate, HATE the tourist weekends here) not sure what she meant by stopping by this afternoon,, I'm calling this early evening and if I miss her,,,oh well

We have not had any of the storms that lots of you appear to be getting. Only a short rain earlier and now a constant sprinkle. Sorry for all of you unable to finish your gardening, got all mine done

My crazy chickens actually played in the rain! Had me puzzled until it dawned on me that these poor girls have most likely never seen rain before!
They absolutely LOVED the puddles!

So much for my freshly cleaned coop (just this morning)

back again...
the original owner of Nora just dropped off 21 chicken and 21 guinea eggs for me to hatch.. I think he really wanted to see the pups, but needed an excuse..

1 turkey is back in the hatcher.. was looking a bit peaked .. Now I see two sets of eyes staring at me.. he looks better..

Marlene had a bunch of americauna chicks and some silkies.. they are all gone.. 3 weeks old, $3.oo/each.. she doesn't trust selling real young chicks to people who might not know how to take care of them..

It rained steadily all day,, light, but steady.. still is at it.. good.. I will not have to water the tomatoes until tomorrow.. I have the barrel in the tractor bucket , filled and waiting..

can't find the bean plate for my planter.. Annie is going to borrow one from her brother tomorrow..
prolly will be too wet to plant, but at least it will be here..

I am toying with the idea of hooking up a drip irrigation for the tomatoes,, just for the heII of it..
prolly won't do it.. I don't mind watering .. It is a relaxing no labor type of job.. And Annie doesn't bother me because I am busy..

Oh Jim, you are such a donkey !!!!!!! I meant that in a kind silly way !!! lol Hey what road does Marelene live on ? N 81st by any chance. We bought the fence on N 81st and they said a lady two houses down always has a sign on the road but we couldn't find it. I told DH we should stop and see the pups but I couldn't remember where you lived. We were in the neighborhood I think. E side of Wausau, not far from Hwy 52. Maybe a good thing, I don't need another puppy/dog or Chickens for that matter.

FT, I really do not know the number of her road.. but it is close to that area.. she has her sign out on hwy 52.. do you know the name of the fence people? did the road have a lot of turns in it ?

we are in the middle of a good thunder storm right now.. Sat TV is out for awhile...

good bit of news.. the first peahen egg is pipped.. hope it doesn't have any problems.. I have 8 eggs due on Sunday, (tomorrow)..

today the peacock let me brush against his tail without folding it and moving away.. He sure has come a long way from the wild bird he was when I got him ..

I think I will let the lightning pass before I jump into the shower..
