Hi fellow Wisconsinites. I have three bantam hens that I would really like to relocate. Two are RIR and one is a very fine white leghorn. They are from a breeder, but the leghorn tends to get a bit noisy for our neighborhood when one of the other hens are on HER nest. There are two spacious nest boxes, but whichever one that is occupied happens to be the one she wants. Is there anyone out there that might be interested in them? Where do I go with them? They're laying nicely and are very friendly. The leghorn will jump into my hand for a treat. It'll be hard to part with them, but I don't need any neighbors complaining and I'll be picking ups some quieter hens very soon.

Harry, maybe you could bribe the neighbors with some fresh eggs. It usually works great. Might be worth a try.

Glad to hear everyone is staying cool.

Doc, I only have windows on two sides. The north end has the people door, and the west side is where I plan to place the nest boxes, and a area for feed or whatever. I guess time will tell how well it works out. I figure the 6 windows will be enough light.

Still have one garden to plant. The grass is cut finally...now the final garden is my mission in charge.

Talked to Jim today...he was sayin it's too bad one has to wrap the elephant gifts for the bash...otherwise he would have a trailor full...

Cooler Morning to you all! Windows are open once again.

to HB and gogo!!! It's true BL4 if you leave me an opening I'll exploit it. Hope you get your chick situation worked out. Bigz, coop sounds like a perfect deal. Caught the "whatever" part. My feed area started to mysteriously accumulate whatever till I made the guy stop doing it. Have a full plate again today. First making bread. Then replant the carrots don't know what happened maybe just old seed. Need to build a more permanent cage for the lil ones to be outside. Thinkin 2x2 frame, chicken wire with a hinged top and a hinged door on one end for when their big enough to let out. Finish washing the house curtains. Clean the litter boxes. Put some rubber roofing on the well cover. Fill in the driveway. Then after lunch.......Wonder how far I'll get. One things for sure, not as far as I plan. Gotta go enjoy the weather!

Much cooler today.

I love the warmth, but that was starting to get rediculous.

I am planning a surprise B-day get-together for my DH tomorrow. He'll come home to a bunch of people having a cookout.

He's been working 12 hours, for a 12 day stretch. He will finally be off this weekend. And then back to the 12 hours, 12 on 2 off. He is also taking these special classes for his work. There will only be 2 people in his plant that will know this new programing. So that's special too.

BCC, hope all is well. Oftly quiet on your end. We know how busy you are. I bet you just can't wait until school is over for the summer. One less thing to have to do.
