Good morning all--slept in a little today to "give" DH a chance to feed the dogs and cats for a change. Just having my first cuppa. We went out for FFF last night and I had pan-fried walleye and sweet potato fries....very yummy! Bigz I have seen that Swai fish for sale at our store. They had a memo about it on the freezer door. Something new I guess.

Not much new here since I last posted...since all I did was sleep...we stopped at a friend's house on the way out to dinner and took a look at her place. Her DH is a tile guy and very artistic! OMG the place is so neat. He has added leftover mirrors, tile, marble and slate in the neatest way. He redid the bathroom and the waste pipe near the ceiling even is covered! Very clever. THey have a bar under their deck...unusual for sure. I told her that I could donate some skulls and license plates to add to the theme.

Suppose I'd better get moving...I think DH is coming along to the birthday party...it will be nice to have another hand...even if he just puts kids up into the saddle.

not much news here either,, I am all consumed with this tractor project..
found out that the head was cracked,, located a different one.. the guy delivered it to the steam show, since we were both there.. I made it to Wausau to drop it off in time before closing.. I picked up the crank.. and all the piston rods and bushings.. and rocker arms..
I have to re-order the main bearings.. I hope they get here by the end of the week.. otherwise we are dead in the water as far as putting the crank back in..

I called for a refill on the tube of ointment for my rash.. they called me back and wanted to know where I was using it ?? I told them that a half an ounce doesn't go very far on a 215 pound body.. she had the nerve to tell me that I was supposed to put it on in thin applications.. I told her to fill the tube next time.. she told me to take that up with my Dr.. just refill the prescription , beotsch, I will take care of it on this end.. what time am I going to pick it up ?? what difference does that make ?? just have it ready after 10 AM .......I'll get there when I get there.. You'd think she was giving up her first born son....

the pups are getting more used to the leash.. you would think we were killing them by snapping them to the collar though.. they cry and lay down and struggle.. they will come around.. they get a treat at the end of their walk..

OK, have to go do something..

ETA: I just ordered the new .030" bearings.. I will take care of sending the .020" ones back separately.. might save some time in delivery..

WOW Jim, no wonder ya haven't posted...I was getting very worried about you..... thought maybe the rash had taken over and you were down and out the last few days...........
Glad that the crack was noticed before ya guys had that thing back together........... good grief, this tractor project is costing you a fortune. I bet when it's done ya just stair at it and never drive it again...........LOL I would after all this...... I think I would buy me a used beater junk one to use to do work with....... Glad the Dr.s are refilling the cream...... what they put in them tubes is surely a joke and they sure ain't shy about charging ya for it are they? arggggggg hate Dr.s and dealing with them, matter of fact I avoid them all together unless I think I might die if I don't call.
Glad the pups are coming along with there leash training, I will work with them when we come visit too, while you boys play with the big toys.

BL4 those cows are very pretty with the bridle color, I goggled em and seen a lot that look the color of Texas long horns as well , I'm a spots fanatic myself, but also love stripes, 2 of my old dogs Bugsy the sick boy and Tigger my old girl are both brindle....

Speaking of Bugs he is back to not eating guess the Steroids wore off after Thursday cuz he hasn't eaten anything I have tried yesterday or today not even Hamburger of beef roast.......
I think he is planing on starving himself to the end.......... When I make the appointment for my old tiggy I may have 2 holes to dig if something doesn't turn around right quick. here........ I feel so helpless not getting him to eat anything, and the vet BTW never bothered to call me back yesterday, so watching him starve all weekend I guess is acceptable to him..........

Welcome Mugs... my mom lives in New Berlin so we are down there quite a bit. How many birds do you have? A 50 lb bag for 4 girls usually lasted me 2 months and it wont go bad. Back when I had 4 birds... used to say we were just going to get 6 total... well we doubled that. (although many are bantams so that only counts as half)

Cheryl... those leghorn eggs from the bantam are so darn cute and tiny. Love our sweet, talky, little girl!

Just spent the morning at our CSA farm out in the country and had fun. They taught us some good ideas for trellising tomatoes because my cages... they get too big for. Petted some pigs and cows and watched the chickens run. Fun stuff!
