Good job! You are becoming sophisticated! All that time on your hands now, what better things have you to do than learn to post pics.
You know it was bound to happen.
I'd like to try Black Raspberry or Blueberry. Grape is plain-jane. You know, BL4 makes some awesome jelly. Blood something. OMG IS THAT GOOD! But she never shares more than a tsp full.....
The sun is hiding from me again. It's only peeked out a couple times today. But that humidity is starting to kick in.
Just stopping by to read all the news-looks like everyone is keeping busy. Nice day out today, had to pull weeds in the flower beds around a house we manage and the owner is trying to sell, just out there a bit to long so I am feeling the effects...
Off to 4-H dog training with DD and our Irish Setter(Cassie) shortly, trying to impress upon DD that she needs to pratice more with Cassie at home otherwise it won't go very well again this year-sometimes they have to learn the hard way. Cassie isn't the easiest one to work with but she is the only one that our DD can take.
Looks like we will have a new foster for awhile-was asked to watch a foster dog being fostered by another foster home while they went on vacation for a week and when the dog showed up here she's in rough shape. Having an"S" on my forehead makes it hard to turn our back on her-she is the product of a puppy mill and ended up with the rescue in 2008 when the mill was raided and dogs taken-she was adopted out and returned after 2 years because she wasn't what the person wanted
She is very skiddish and afraid of most everything
-scared of guys and loud noises and fast moving objects. She's been with us almost a week and it will be a slow long process to help build her confidence and show her that all things aren't scary, pretty much like teaching a puppy.
fm you made 2 funnies! Me with time on my hands and sophisticated. Har Har Har!!! I'll give ya more knowledgeable than a little while ago. Thinking with all the berries, rain and now heat coming the Black Raspberries are going to be the jam, pies this year. Agree with the grape being plain jane but just like making it so I can say so. H&R think you might have your hands full trying to rehabilitate the foster dog. Your right it's going to be a long process. Hope it comes around! Does the S stand for Super Woman? Must be very small didn't notice it.
Early Evening to All...Don't understand your feelings for the best jelly ever...wild grape is our speciality and don't call the best jelly you ever tasted plain...anyone can make the domestic stuff...
folks kill for my wild grape jelly...
Thanks for the pic raimnel...doc, I ll get some printed and send one your way soon. pm me your street address and it will be done in a flash....
The weeds are taking over the onions...hope I can weed them soon.
DrH, showing you how to do pictures, what have I done?
Heehee, kidding! Was that a pic of Peaches? he's a looker
Good luck with the new pup, H&R. That's a real good thing you do. I hope to foster someday too, when the kids are older.
All this talk of jams and jellies is making me hungry. Hmm, maybe breakfast for supper? Yum! has anyone ever made crabapple jelly? Oh my, it's out of this world. Finding a good tree is the tough part. Nobody plants the edible variety anymore, just ornamentals.
OK this is my last post for the day! I promise! Yes it is Amyable. Smart and handsome! That's my boy! But fm raised him so the credit goes to her for his sweet nature. Very proud of him! Bigz thought I liked the grape because I made it but your right too. It's Goodly! Anxious to make BR though. PM on the way.
Hold on folks...I am NOT after DrH tonight!!! What a change! It must have worked for him to post BEFORE and AFTER me this morning! Yeah! Well--I hate killing things but it had to be done...my neighbor brought be a load of hay tonight and I told him I thought I knew where the 'coons were in my barn. he said, "too bad I dont have my gun"...so I got him mine. I am now 6 raccoons short on my farm! The female was about 30 pounds....yeah, a fifty pound bag of catfood and 2 ducks and 4 chickens! So, while I am sad, I am glad...know what I mean? I am sure you all do...
So OK--anybody have nothing to do tomorrow? I have hay to unload and it goes SO QUICK when you have a few folks helping! It is only 165 bales...I am sure I can get more if you want to develop more muscle...
So I found out what my parrot was saying in Spanish--did I tell you? It is, "give me the little foot." THat is what they say when you ask them to step up. My daughter put it on FB and someone told her. It is "Dame la petita." I thought they were saying "I like pizza!" So now I know what to say to her to get her to step up!
DrH--I am slightly afraid what you will do with your new-found knowledge! Amyable, you may have created a monster!
Hey, didnt that big pic that Raimnel sent look like DrH had Dr Ha Ha written on his t-shirt? That's what it looks like to me!
OK--I am cooled off now...need to go back out and finish weeding that terrible garden...I have little bitty tomatoes! Couldnt believe it when I saw them! Put the last load of compost on the potatoes in the bins and planted the beans in there this morning...no potato beetles for me this year!
Terri O--PM me for my address if you want to come and unload hay tomorrow....it is FUN!
Sorry I misspelled usernames, I thought I looked up everyones.
Sorry Terri O and Jennie
and as for Dr H's with the name on his shirt.... hes so cut off that was the only place I could put it
I gotta a couple more plants to put in my garden..... its been so wet out there, I'm glad I got carpet in between the rows otherwise I would sink in the mud. IDK if that is too good for the plants but they are growing.
I got so much to do tomorrow it's pitiful. I'm going to bed early.... night all!!
