Angiebubs~ditto w/TO. 3 of my 4 girls appear to be wrapping up their molt. Just dealing with Miss PMS with attitude (aka Soup). Was going to give her another chance but she is still pulling everybody's butt feathers out and grabbing the back of their necks if they try to get their share of the treats so tomorrow it's on with the Peepers to give her a day to adjust before the weather goes to cold and crap and they spend a few days in the coop.

I once locked my keys in an old truck at the laundromat. A passing friend gave me a ride home and back with the extra keys. WRONG SET OF KEYS!

BL4 Dancing? Maybe your not so old. L and I were sitting at the pikinic table enjoying the kids and I noticed one of the 2 BA hens is missing. Lard Butt is still here but her sister is gowan. She was here this AM. Didn't hear anything bad going on

Just gowan. We had a great time playing with the kids! Babykins is really coming around along with several of the other kids. Guess I should spend more time with them. OK I will. Chili is chillin on the stove and will sample for this evenings repast. Great batch! BFF came in around 11 and never saw a deer. I told him that I knew why. He never called last night so I could say. Kill a big buck in the woods! It's a tradition. Gettin dark hope he has some good luck soon!

Good PM,, I had trouble with my screen today.. so I could not read any posts nor post any reading..

we got the tractor halves back together last night.. but the clutch didn't work AT ALL.. I went to bed feeling like crying.. during the period on dozing off and thinking about what to do with the clutch.. it came to me.. I was reading the information in the fixit manual wrong.. or it was worded wrong.. I woke up before 6 AM and went out and tried adjusting the clutch the way I thought it should be done.. Ta dAAAAA !! works 100%.. I was back into the house by 6:15 AM and drinking coffee by 6:30..

Kim made outstanding ho-made biskits and gravy and eggs for breakfast.. I got the recipes.. na na nana na.. for supper we had a roast from the cow she bought.. the carrot cake was really good, and it is all gone already..

we hit a snag putting the manifolds onto the "new" head.. the two outer holes in the manifold were not wide enough to fit the head.. so when Annie went to town I had her pick up a 9/16" and a 5/8" drill bits.. we drilled the 2 holes in the manifold larger to give us the reach we needed and it worked..

One of my peahens went missing.. I think I mentioned this before.. Kim took a walk around the estate and found her,,,,,,,,,,,sitting on eggs.. Annie snatched the eggs and gave them to the chickens to hatch.. the peahen now has chicken eggs.. IDK how many eggs she had.. If Annie mentioned it, I wasn't paying attention.. I just have to start listening to her one of these days..

This is Ozzy... He's Gold Comet/ Australorp I'm keeping him for egg layers.

I wish I knew what combo made this hen,,,, she sure is pretty... she has a pea comb.but I seem to have kept missing her head!

This is a pullet hatched here too.... I have NOTHING that looks like her! Someone must have come here and slipped her in! LOL

Jim... I have the vocab of a sailor but technically swearing isn't a sin. ;-) now if I say God d@mn it, that counts as taking his name in vain. Then I just tell Him I'm sorry and we're good. As to my other favorite words, they are not mentioned in the 10 commandments so I'm good. I've made a thorough study of this,, just to be sure!

Besides, I teach 2nd graders. I wouldn't corrupt them. But give me confirmation kids and I could slip up.
I better get to bed. I haven't gotten around to even looking at my lesson for tomorrow!!!

Back from the dance; did the required socializing (difficult to do when you really do not know anyone in town) and left at 10. Time for vino.....


I think I will make baked chicken tomorrow night..... I think the kids are sick and tired of grilled food. Kristi, I have no idea how you put up with such picky eaters.... if my DH was like that I would leave all the cooking to him.

Time to watch some Star Trek.
