Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Nope, no cochins here. Well, other than Jack, that is.
I got Hershey from Bigfam, as she said, along with 3 gold laced orps. Hershey is a cross between a black & a chocolate orp. She is a beautiful bird. And has quite the amount of junk in the trunk too, as you can see.

Pics just don't do her justice.
Bigfam, you can drive on down to visit her any time. One of my lav orp roos, the slow one, has an enormous butt too. It figures it had to be him.

Cind, I am so sorry about the kitten.

Thanks for posting the rug link, Ang! Too bad they are all sold out.

I would love one of those too.

That "deal" sounds ominous, Jim. Anything to do with the campaign phone calls?

Between 11 pm and 11 am today we have 5 more chicks! This woman's Ameraucaunas are very hardy! I think I only tossed 2 or 3 eggs as quitters. We already have 8 hatched! I am still waiting for the single lemon cuckoo, the 2 cream legbars, and my 2 farm hybrids. PLEASE HATCH!
Ok... I'll say it. The only bird I regret getting rid of was Hershey. (Also known as the wide load pullet of CC's) I JUST LOVE HER! It's probably sick and wrong, but I am completely in love with her chickie butt. I just want to pick her up and squish her! Seriously... I might drive all the way down to CC just to squish that little chickie girl!!!
I better go. The kids are all home from school. I don't get much peace to post!
Oh and Terri... I didn't plan on this many Ameracaunas actually hatching since I have terrible hatch rates. If I get too many, i know just who to give some too...

I swear the chicks know it's the middle of the night and come out then. Maybe cause it is quieter.

sounds like your hatch is going great. what variety of brinsea do you have? It seems to be working well.

Both my children decided to come between midnight and dawn as well. One early, while we were out of town visiting family(hello new doc we don't know. We are having our first here tonight, now maybe)

Afternoon all!
So Twain ended up staying in the hospital. He is still there and cannot be let out until he talks with a vascular specialist. She may or may not talk to him today so it's looking like he'll be there through the weekend. Apparently there is only one in the area (info per Twain). As it turns out, it is not kidney stones which would be the easier thing to deal with. Nope he has blood clots that are effecting his kidneys. This is not related to his heart. They have put him on a huge dose of Plavix to treat and get rid of the plaque in his system and they have him on blood thinners. He is fine and in great spirits although he is board out of his mind. They have run a boat load of tests to determine why he is having the plaque issue. Lupis is one thing they are checking out among others so it might be next week that we might get an answer. Even then the Docs say that they might not find a cause. One of his relatives in the family tree had renal spinosis (sp). So there is that lead to give the docs.

Just got a text from Twain as I was typing this, he is coming home today! Yeah! I guess the vascular doc got to talk with him after all!

Best get going...sorry this was short and sweet
Thanks for the well wished everyone!
Huge hugs to you all....

Jim don't ya hate when things come back broken when you lend them out! My trailer is only a stripped down pop up camper and the frame is thin C channel so not much to work with. Made the box so I could take it off pretty easily if need be. Dogs are expensive! Think I'll stick to cats. MLH glad he's coming home but the clots sound scary! Hope they figure it out quick! CC that would be a good replacement mug for the one I've been using for the last 20 some years. It sayd I'd rather be having a beer.

Afternoon all!
So Twain is home! Yeah! He is in terrific spirits and a tad bored. According to the docs they think its Renal Thrombosis and/or Artheoroembolic or some such thing. So now I need to google! They also indicated that the heart attack is not related to the thrombosis. I guess he has a boat load of plaque from years of bad diet and stuff like that.
They gave him high does Plavix and blood thinners. He has to give himself blood thinner med shots for 14 days and take oral blood thinners. Poor guy. He's is just happy to be home and that he has an electric razor!! So, that is what we know as of now.

Well, just wanted to get y'all updated

Hi all, Yeah DrH, My trailer is one that I put together mainly to haul feed.. It will hold 1000 pounds MAX ,, after that the wheels rub.. Nephew's friend tried to load a 8 x 8 playhouse onto it .. what,, 2500 , 3000 pounds ?? mental giants they are NOT !!!

I picked up only 4 bales of straw.. shared one whole bale between the two raised pens.. the birds really dug into that fresh bedding.. seeds and bugs beware !!

Got another pullet egg today.. so I guess they are gradually coming along..

looked at my new rooster-to-be.. Nice.. Brian will deliver him some day..

I should be outside making side racks and end gates for the trailer,, but my winter blood hasn't acclimated yet.. there is always tomorrow, --- yeah, until the last day, eh ?

remember folks, Dec 20 is supposed to be the last day for all of us.. I only wish I knew it were true.. I would go and take out a maximum loan against everything I own, and really live it up.. YA HOOOO

Thursday was Gramma's 98th birthday.. she figured she was 100.. Not a bad guess, Last week she told my sister that she was "over 75, I guess."

Nov 8, hopefully the plans will come together that day...
