Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Nice packer Win evening to everyone. Hope the bye week helps some of our injured starters.

40 years of wedded bliss today for me and suzie...we stayed home and made all you care for shrimp...yep, we started with the raw ones....no pre-cooked here on the hill. Old fashioned flowing well too. We were so young 40 years ago....my how the time flies.

Welcome Home French toast...thought I'd be formal with a stranger. Hope ET is ok and doing well.

More football...gotta love sunday nights.

Just John... Squash all spiced up like pumpkins are in pumpkin pie? What kind of squash?

What is this FF of which you speak, delisha?

Happy OMG,TheSunIsAlreadySetting day! Some pie will take the sting out of that I bet...
pink banana squash yummmmm!

I have extra seeds if you would like to give em a go for next year.

Hey TerriO

what ya doing tomorrow?

My son and I are going to try to get close enough to the capital to hear President Obama speak tomorrow and when that can't happen I thought we might stop by for a visit.

Oh John...those sound good, might have to get some squash seeds from you.
As those that are on facebook can see, we adopted a sweet 9 week old corgi. A friend of a friend of a friend had a litter with 2 that had not sold yet so they came down a little on their price. He is about 10 weeks old and really calm and sweet. Working on potty training.... zero start with that so we are working hard. Will be crate trained at night and when I work. Luckily I work half days so he wont be alone too long. Crazy fun! Even DH is cuddling him!

FF is Fermented Feed. I have been using it since I read about it. They have a whole sticky about it.
I have the batch of new chicks on it too. I think if they were not..I would not have any left. They feathered out thankfully really early. I have tweaked the chick coop to reduce size, added more heat. Hopefully that is going to work. I hate them in such a small area, but better that than frozen.
Sandy, next time your in Racine, come on over and use the internet here.

OMFG.....................................................I read ALL the posts; answered them as I read...yeah.
Then the posts all went away on the other tab...might have something to do with the brandy me and Tommy have had...dont know.
All I can say is that I am ******! My nice post has gone...I am so sad!
Well, it is what it is! Now I am heading off to bed. Good night, and I will speak again tomorrow.
(so many messages lost to FT, DrH, Kim, Cind, MLH, MXM, Brent and Susie, Jim (a very clever one) oh I remember that one! He must be picking up that dog from KS in Madtown! And David and BL4 and BigFam about autism and gluten and there must be way more but I am heading off to bed...new client tomorrow and I am so exhausted from the weekend it is not even funny!

Sorry I lost my whole post...didnt think that happened when you opened another window! It was probable when I clicked on a link that I lost it! Oh well! Talk in the morning hey? TerriObrandygoneandheadingtobed!

Thanks for the advice. I knew that production would go down, but I never thought all 17 would quit laying. I have to get out there and put in a light. We have a mix of red stars, black stars, ameracaunas, barred rocks, and chanticlars.
That is odd that your stars would stop laying. My production reds laid almost every single day until they were about 1 1/2 years old. Like Ghost, some of my pullets started sleeping in the nest boxes also due to being bullied off the roosts, messing up the boxes daily. Despite frequent cleanings, some of the gals started laying their eggs on hay bales instead of in the boxes. I would lean toward them either laying in an area you haven't found yet, or maybe they have experienced a good scare recently. Has your dog gotten loose in the hen house lately? A traumatic experience, like a predator attack or a loose dog, can cause an entire flock to stop laying for a few days or longer.

FT, glad you could join us again, stranger!

Not much new here either. Glad to see the Pack pulled off another win, and not as ugly as last week. I hope they get some healing done in the next 2 weeks.

Is Woodson going to be back then, or will it be the following game?

Critters are all doing good. We usually get at least a dozen eggs a day, but today there was only 5. A Moosette was in one of the boxes later & was squalking up a storm, so we might have gotten 6. DH has been working out there for a good part of the week so that might have something to do with it? I've got to do some serious cleaning out there & get the rabbits area ready for the 2 older kids to "join the flock". They are so quiet & well behaved. Boy, will they be in for a rude awakening!

Oh well. Jack will enjoy the company. He just loves babies. Maybe because they are more his size?

Must get the laundry in the dryer, feed cats & get DHs lunch ready. Sweet dreams, all!
