Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Evening To Everyone...yep, shame on me bl4...I never dreamed anyone on here would actually attend the annual event. I'll be sure to give you a heads up next fall. I'm the promoter and head of sales...yep, shame on me...glad you didn't hit a cow... tell the OM good job on his tractor. Sounds like it will be spankin new when he is finished. I love cherry pie!

TO..please stay safe! Stuff always happens when you are havin fun.

I love to hunt...gun season is not my favorite hunt....neighbors lose their sense someway?

We waste nothing here..ever. Gonna stop by the amish tomorrrow and share some squash. I think 4 wheelbarrows heaped is more than i can use. Gave prolly 3 plus away already. Everyone seems to enjoy them.

Sighted in the guns today. One my daughter will be using..they were both right on the bull. no bull!

Sounds like you have hay, eh frenchie?

I've been thinking really hard about adding Ameraucanas to my little coop come spring. They would have to be pullets (hubby REALLY doesn't want any roos) and would these be close to the same size as my Black Stars??? Don't know what you said the other half was. I really am serious. I have given up on getting Hedemoras, at least for a couple years. Just too hard to get hold of yet.

thought you would get a kick out of this;

she's a frizzle silkie cross!!!

Jim~sorry I didn't mean to make you angry. I was raised in Michigan and when I was a teen my Dad and my 2 brothers were hunting and as they walked across a field (that actually belonged to my grandmother) some moron opened up on them. I nearly lost my whole family in one stupid accident. The only thing that saved their lives was a large log they were able to flatten themselves behind and yelled til this idiot finally heard them. He walked up and was very apologetic. Said he thought they were a buck and a couple does. Huh? When my dad asked when was the last time he saw an orange buck, that's when the guy told them he was color blind. My dad never let me set foot outside my grandma's house during hunting season again.

BTW~this guy was no kid and on top of it, turns out he was in the wrong field and actually trespassing.

vickie, the pure Ameraucauna maybe the same size or a bit smaller than your BSL's,,,the olive eggers would be the same size or a tad bigger,, my BCM pullets are around 6lbs @ 6 months

This is based on the size of my BSL hens and the one Ameraucauna hen I have had this year,,,maybe Terri or someone else has different experience

OH yeah,, I am mostly blind to red.. It turns black after a short distance away.. back when I started hunting you could legally shoot black bears during deer season.. and back then, the color for hunting was red.. a lot of guys wore black and red checker board colored jackets.. can you imagine how many black "animals" I was in the woods ?? I learned very early how to tell a man from an animal..

One other thing we never allowed was a reward for the first deer shot.. NO contests are allowed about hunting , except the biggest rack.. when you are looking for horns, you cannot mistake a man for a deer..

yeah Chris, that is way out of line for that type of chicken..

DrH, I took pictures of the dog house.. I promise, I will send them or have DD#2 do it.. I tried to get the puppy to pose inside the doorway, but by the time I got the camera up, he would try to get away..

I took puppy in to the vet for a distemper shot.. and had him de-wormed ,, just in case..

Annie told the receptionist that the dog's name is Bobby Joe.. So everybody there just assumed it was a girl.. I told the vet that I was going to change the name.. He asked, to what ? I said IDK, but I can't use any of the names in public, I have been calling him lately..
