Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I do not have pure buff Orpingtons. I have Pure English Orpington show stock of blue and blacks. I could breed my blue cockerel in January to a few of my Buff Orpington crosses for you if you like. Might be an interesting hatch out. Drop me a line if that is something you might be interested in. I am always willing to try experiments for fellow Wisconites.

How did the run go?

Oh yes! Thanks Delisha for the luck wishes!
I almost missed the run by getting lost driving there. I did pretty good until half way through when the back spasm started to get bad. I stopped to walk then said "He!! No you Pu$$y... GET RUNNING!!" So I started it up again and finished in 34.09. Not my best time, but 2 minutes better than my race on Thanksgiving. I'm happy with it ;)

Quote: Great! I give credit to anyone who is physically fit. Only running I do is to the bathroom when I laugh or cough.

evening all, another warm yet damp day has passed. Got the washer, More than I wanted to spend but I got a cheap one before, hoping this one lasts longer than a year and a half. The good thing is that I now have a huge box for a brooder in the spring.

the girls are still laying an egg everyday. I notice, they prefer staying in the coop than going out in the covered run. I put out scratch and left over bird seed for them, they eat it and go back inside.

well have a good night everyone.

delisha-I haven't bred chicks yet, what are the possible outcome of that cross (hen color, egg color, tempermant, etc)?
Can't beat the temperament of Orpingtons. The egg color will be brown, the chick colors will be buff I would thing. They would have the blue gene, and you might get blue, black, splash if you bred back to each other. But I am not positive, you might have to double back two generations. I am game if you are.

Evening everyone,
Just wanted to say howdy to the chicken herd...hehehe
anyway got a few pictures today an update of my miracle hen N some of the girls managed to even get a close up of Davids RSL hen, also my SnowFlake laid her first egg after her ordeal, it was a soft shell one but it was an egg, I didn't expect her to start laying again until spring........so here ya go......
