Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

LOL Vicki....... guess we could all do that intervention and really get ya going........:lau Though with all the enablers on this thread, I think you are totally screwed.......... hehe

Jim plow first that is some wet nasty snow, just got in from plowing our driveway and almost killed myself trying to push that crap with the ATV, talk about heavy wet nasty stuff, Can't believe it isn't March this March weather and March snow............. NOT JANUARY !!! for cripes sake. ridiculous stuff........ for this time of year.

BabyLady........... Thank you for the link Just book marked it .......... it will come in handy, with this kinda crazy weather going on.

What are you airing out Dr. Haha................ I was almost afraaid to ask hehehehe

Cindy love that ole post add, crazy how things have gone up, I'm getting 10 chicks from Sandhill with CasieD and that was 55 bucks.......... OUCH !!
Cute little fruit loops them are, hehe

Carol hope everything is better today................

So anyway I better get my boy up for school, nothing much else new here, except Adam did make his load at 8 am he is waiting again they are not yet ready for it.............. good grief never realized how many companies order crap they must really not NEED........... seems he is always waiting to get loaded or unloaded...because they don't know where they are putting the load...... and he is almost outa time for his drive week he has 4 hours, and they want him to pickup in Chicago, and run that load to Menominee Falls, not sure if that is gonna even work......will see.......so later all ......Kim

Good morning--I love that ad Cind! Sure wish I could find a couple of those old chick feeders. They were made to LAST then for sure.
Slow start here too Deli--DH left for LaCrosse this morning and of course I was up. Felt really good and thought about staying up...NOPE. Finally fell asleep and slept until 8 or so...the parrot was a jerk when I fed him. I sure wished he liked me...

I stopped at the place I am using to butcher and set stuff up with the woman. THIS IS THE WEEK! JJ--any day work better for you? Did anyone else say they were coming to help/learn? I cant remember anymore. Not too many to do maybe 30 birds. Should just take a morning or afternoon...then I guess we oughta come here and have a little "party." Any excuse right?

We didnt get too much weather here...the steps look just wet. I am sure the "glacier" that is my yard area has not improved. The best thing I ever got was YakTracks for my boots--(thanks MXM!) I can actually walk on the ice without falling on my *****! Now I have lost one so I put the one remaining from last year on that boot. Slightly uneven but I feel safe again!

Speaking of...guess I better get on out there! The birdies are waiting! And I can see that the water under the pump is NOT frozen--WHoo-Hooo! Isnt it funny what you can get excited about living in the country?

Oh yeah--thanks for the traffic conditions link BL4! And I agree with Cind,,,there has GOT to be something wrong with that house! I told DH that we should think about moving there!

, sunshine is out here now, will have to go out shortly and see if I can scrap the ice off our driveway, pretty slippery this am when the kids got on the bus for school. Probably ended up with an inch of snow/ice by us- DH was out for about 7 hours late yesterday evening/early this am removing snow and salting. Couple of places thought they'd be nice and shovel the snow off for him but they did so ahead of the sleet/rain so the driveway/sidewalk was one big sheet of ice

lots of ice melt on those areas.

DD was supose to have religion class last night but given the way the roads were and DH was out removing snow- I emailed and told them she wasn't going to make it-not a big fan of driving on slippery roads especially at night. DD was okay with that, in fact she feel alseep at the start of the football game!

Well- for some reason I was looking up on chicken hatching and it said to have the thermometer on top of the eggs. When it was lying next to the eggs it read 99.5-100. Well I put it on top of the eggs and then it said 103! I am sooooo sad. Do you think I cooked my babies?

    Really nice RIR's.

Our pictures are really cute and you get three votes.
.there are some other really cute pictures too!

Thank you

I voted, though the numbers / names are messed up on my photo. I think they swapped Celtic and me or something.

Hi All, I plowed everything.. I had so much fun, I drove to the neighbors and did their driveway and mailbox too...

went to F&F for 8 bags of cracked corn.. $100.oo bill chewed up real fast..

I had a terrible thought.. If I added up what all my birds are worth,, it comes to less than what I spent of feed this week.. what's wrong with this picture ??

speaking of pictures.. I went out a little while ago and took a few pics..

I was going to send somebody a couple of comparison pictures of my light vs dark barred rock hens.. I couldn't find any light ones..

I took a picture of my peacock roost that is for sale, though.. you will have to supply your own peacocks , though..

the one on the left is the 2 year old.. the one on the right is over 4 years old..

I doubt it.. You moved the thermometer closer to the heating element.. If you raise it even more, it will read even warmer.. If you have a fan in the bator, you would get a more homogenized reading..

there cannot be such a sustained difference in temp in such a short distance.. you have to take into account where the thermometer was in relation to the heating element in both locations..
