Yep, they all hang out together. Actually he's a bit of a Jack-***** because he's always on them in the spring. He'll need a couple of girlfriends I think--everyone hides out when he's after them. I've still got my one girl that I'm going to keep (I guess I am still going to be poultry underground because ducks aren't allowed) because she'll fit in alright and I'm in love with the duck eggs!

They stay in the same coop as the girls just fine. Jill even roosts up with them.

So shouldn't be a problem then, will ask Sue for a couple of hens for Jack but I think I will keep him seperated with his girls, I have enough piggy backin with the roosters........LOL and he should be happy if he has a couple GF's....... I will have to put the girls in the brooder pen for now till everyone gets used to each other. Have they had any problems, as in mites or colds, or deformed toes..Lol a couple of my girls have them so it isn't a big deal, I just wont hatch them girls eggs for chicks..... so now how are we gonna get them up here? if hubby don't care....Kim

Nope, they're all super healthy. As for transport...I'm not sure! I'm so busy this weekend with the move and I am going to be south in Chicago the two following weekends. Going to be nuts! We'll have to come up with something.

Right now, though, I'm hitting the sack. I'm exhausted.

Cool apron too! judge was think a whole lot of hairspray when I saw that pic. Very cute! JJ have an Army buddy whose Dad painted his house gold with green trim. A bit over the top for me. Think I'll get some fertile BA eggs this spring. Lard Butt is about bald. Have to finish painting the closet today and suppose I'll HAVE to plow.

Good morning!

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Love them. Might add some yellow and maroon. I actually do have a heavy black metal trellis that will go in front of the shed and see what I can grow up that. I was hoping for food things, but it is pretty shady under the big old oak tree. There are hostas and astilbees and a few ferns in that area on the other side of the run in front of the grey shed.
Was also thinking of buying the cheap little wood fencing that comes about a foot up and paint it white and put that around the coop as a little picket fence. Love the shutter idea- just need to figure out how and the dimensions as that window takes up a big chunk of that door. Have a egg pop door in the back also. And there is a window on the grey shed.
Just looks so green, was not sure what colors would go best to keep it looking cute!

I am secretly hoping they will lay me off now, just so I can work on my gardens and coop and have a fun summer with the kids. Is that not horrible. Money will be tight, but sounds like a good summer with 6, almost 7 year olds! Cant go far wtih ds getting car sick so easy, but we have lots of local friends so that will be fun. Maybe talk my now retired mom to come and visit. she is so bored now that she is not working.
What would you think of an easy hobby for a 75 year old woman who is not technology oriented... she does not like to crochet or knit. She is reading and doing crosswords alot. I told her I would buy her some puzzles too. Need to find her a small sewing machine, she gave hers to my sister years ago...now she is bored. She does not like pets otherwise I would get her some chickens!!

good AM, that accident was a baddie.. I have not heard of who it was, yet.. apparently they slid through the stop sign and got broad sided.. 3 family members dead, and the fourth in the hospital..

I have a guy coming to buy an incubator.. He just bought a house and 7 acres.. has 4 kids one of which is anxious to hatch some eggs.. he has no animals,,,,,,YET... I will try to get him on cheeseheads..

when I was in high school, the neighbor hired me to paint his house.. the house was across the street and four houses down.. this is important to note.. we painted that house BRIGHT yellow..
ever after that, when we looked out our windows,, didn't matter what the weather, it looked like the sun was coming up..

the puppy did not come in this AM,, he is curled up in HIS dog house and looks comfy.. I will prolly never get a picture of that because he comes out as soon as I open the outside door..

I sure picked the wrong time to want to start building the peacock pen.. one snow after another.. now on Thursday, they have a storm coming worth watching out for.. I can still do some prep work, though.. and charge up a couple of screw shooters..

that was some excitement in Russia, eh? I wonder what they will do with all that iron ? the rumor over there is that the Americans launched a secret weapon upon them.. can people really be that ignorant ??
