I feel like I live such a boring life. Everyone here has so much to say and so much going on. I guess I just don't feel like anyone would have any interest in my boring life. Get up, let 1 dog outside, go out check on silkie ladies, go and yell at 1 silkie boy to let other boy eat, come in and get daughter up, let her dog out, daughter does school through RVA so get class started, peek in at new chicks, and blah, blah, blah, zzzzzzzzzzz, snore, zzzzzz. See how boring!

You sound as busy as anyone else here! Why dont you throw in once in awhile, and im sure well find something to jab about! ;-)

Leave them for a few more days. Your temp might be a bit low and they need the extra time to finish.

Thanks, I thought the temp was suppose to be between 99 and 100. What should it be at?

Good morning! Cold is in full swing today...but thanks to the NyQuil I slept well. Coffee tastes yucky...I can always tell when I am sick cause the taste buds dont work right! Sounds like DS is getting up...thed dogs go wild when they hear him getting out of bed. One of my BCs cant stand him and she has riled all the other dogs so now they all bark! It is getting rather old. We are trying a penny can now...the weird part is that as soon as he sits down she is fine with him!

Got a letter from the IRS...They are saying we owe $987 in taxes from 2011. I wonder if that was the hold up with the Fed refund....sneaky I say. It will be interesting to see what DH has to say about it for sure. Anybody want a house guest for the next couple of months? How about you Ghost? LOL!

Sdelfe...we dont lead exciting lives at all! We just like to talk about the mundane stuff that happens to us every day! Sometimes I would like to have a nice quiet life...but then I would probably be really bored! I am sure that we could all hook you up with more critters, Ghost could send you half of her houseguests and you could have some of my cats! There. problem solved!

Oh yeah...then there's Jim coming to your place to build his coops....

I still stand by the fact that skunks dont kill their food. Neither do possums. The wildlife guy that did a presentation for our 4H club said that other critters do the killing and they follow along to eat the spoils and get blamed. He had a bunch of reasons to back it up....he published a book called Myths About Animals. I will have to see if I can find it.

My head feels like it is about to explode! Maybe I need to go out and do chores...sometimes the fresh air works wonders. Maybe it will today? My brain is twisting letters and I keep haveing to retype...Gotta go.

Waiting to hear from the vet yet. I wanted them to call before they entertained the thought of doing the tube again..... I do not want him to suffer needlessly.

Chili dump day at work so I made two types of cornbread, one sweet and one hot and cheesy. Made some honey butter to go with too.

They are all over the place..

Your temp is fine and chicks will hatch at 99 they just take longer. Normal incubation temps are 99.5-100. A chickens internal temp when broody is 104-105.

sorry I didn't mention earlier. I cook mine at 101.5
