I wish I could stay home with the kiddos (14, 9, 7 and 3) time seems to be flying by. I used to work from home and LOVED it although I did sort of miss the social aspect of the office, but boy did I get alot more done at home!!.. garden was awesome, laundry was hung out on the line, went to more kid functions:) My hubby gets to be home 4 days out of the week though. Really nice for day care! He works weekends, I work during the week. AND travel A LOT........too much.... It would be ok, if the $$ equaled the travel, but in todays times, one should be happy they have a job.

Maybe in a few years..........oooppss I just woke up..........it'll be awhile!!! lol

45 here today water seems to be accumulating in the wrong places in the coop. We live on a bit of a hillside, sooo weird how it puddles. Gonna get the girls some more straw.

Got all my seeds started:) some will be quite Large by the time they acctually get in the garden. I want to plant rutabegas...sp?... do they come as seeds??? cause I can't seem to find any? Anyone else have any thoughts?

Happy Thursday everyone...

BigFam... kinda quiet on here ;-)

Good aternoon...I am off to "learn" how to take care of my friends' cats again....2xyear she goes to her sister's place in IL for holidays, every time I have to go and "relearn" how to feed her cats! It really drives me crazy...like I have never fed a cat! I guess she thinks it is like brain surgery and technology is always changing! LOL--I made a funny!

Hey Jim--can you give me a clue about "Tracy?"

Great on the hatches everyone! I am going to try and make a new bator with the box that JJ passed along to me...we will see.

I cant say that I have seen Rutabaga seeds....there is a book though that talks about it that I just looked at at the library...cant remember the name but they broadcast the seeds by hand right in the garden. It was something like Rutabaga Summer or A year of Rutabagas.

On my way to Nasco, then haircut and then the Mexican grocery for Fresh tortillas and Chicharones...MMMMM!
Later! TerriO

Tracy, is a tall large boned woman.. has been teaching pre-high school for over 20 years.. IDK what grades,, or exactly what school.. but she is in Lake Mills school district.. I thought you were in that district ? anyhow.. she is from Wausau.. I play cards with her sister and brother a few times a month.. and when she comes to town,, she plays also..

I got the cross brace up , called my Bro.. no answer,, he prolly knows what I want..

had lunch today with DD#2.. we sat and talked a long time.. I enjoyed it..

the water is finally running outside.. that is more like it.. makes it sloppy and muddy in spots, but we have to go through this to get to summer..

29 eggs today..

had an exciting start to the day this morning- DH went out to our work garage and the bunnies were out of their pen- the door didn't get latched all the way last night durning chores- they left nice presents all over, wasn't too hard to round them up.

tree sap has been flowing well the last couple of days- had to start boiling down the sap today- collected 25 gals so far
