I would have tried to wrestle that thing in my car so fast! I've done it too! Found a still warm road kill on may way home from work one time. It was a doe so I could manage it. A couple years before there was a still warm Buck I just didn't have the strength to get though. If I had had a rope I could have done it!

Kildare.... I love any kind of game and can cook most any of it, (Even that coon you all were going to turn into sum'oers! lol) I like canned venison too. Makes for fast easy meals.

CS.... My mom started using a whistle to call me home. I used one for my kids too. That way you can kind of "code" to them too.

TO... I can see those kids being a big help as gate keepers while trying to move birds!

David... dose this mean your giving p on chickens? or just changing types?

BigZ... I have used "kitchen bouquet " but the one I really like is "BV" for a "beefer upper". I bet you do get all the chicks you want

Well I guess the neighbors are moving in this weekend. DH talked to "her" a bit tonight. I spent the afternoon trying to chase my birds out of their yard and fixing the fence. The smaller birds can still squeeze through one part if they really want to. The guineas of course go where they want

can't keep them from flying. BTW..... The ones that visited last year and stole my hens are back and it seems like there are a few more. Hope I can convince the new people that they will keep the bugs way down and are worth the noise! I will try to bring them eggs and talk with them soon! The neighbors on the other side of us are OK with the birds and don't need the eggs. Their daughter is on their old farm about 2 miles away and keep them in eggs.

Quote: No idea lol It was the Happy Cackle Special. I think for the 10 pullets and 1 rooster I got Barred Rock ( I think), the 10 rares have some Polish I think and I think I see a Mottled Houdan. The extra, not sure yet. The ducks are Rouens, the geese are either Toulous or African lol, and the turkeys, not sure . I have the Cackle webpage open trying to figure out what we got lol.
