Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks for your concern, I bet that you are a good parent and yes, my parents are completely aware that I am on here. I tell them about all the cool stuff I read and the questions I post. I also asked them if I could post pictures of the baby on here. I know that it is kind of weird, but hey, most people say I'm weird too. This is where I learn all my chicken stuff, my parents weren't into chickens very much and I needed some help so I kinda found this site and it saved half my flock. Well sorry, maybe not the best thread to be on for me.

Here's a pic of all of us when Michael was 6 hours old, the names of all the kids are (left to right): Haydon, Porter (beneath), Weston

, underneath him Waylon, Adeline, Michael, Colton (me), and finally Walker. We are all 2 years apart, including Michael. Michael, I love that name!!

Very cute pics Colton, boy you can tell your all siblings :) Tell your mom Congrats :)

Nothing new happening here, just wish the snow would have passed us. I'm thinking I need to bring yet another brooder in . My goslings are out growing theirs already. When I talk to them they talk right back . Im thinking I might like geese more than ducks :)

Ok... I don't want to be the Mom here. But I have a question to ask Colton. Do your parents know you post and chat on here? I know we are good folks, but I would not be happy at all if my 13 yr old was posting in a thread of strange adults online. (Some of them stranger than others). I had to ask because its been bothering me a bit as a mom... Sorry.
well said someone had to ask.

hi folks,

spent part of the afternoon working a deal for some Harlequin ducks, I had decided I needed some ducks for the garden after a couple other offers didn't pan out these were on CL and I made the call. 1 drake and 7 hens if they don't stop laying with the move there will be some eggs for the sportsman. I'll pick them up next Saturday, give me a few days to get things setup here.

nice family pics Colton, bigfam is right to question you, being a mom and all, but you did the right thing asking permission first

good job on the pen Jim, get the doors on and the birds in before spring

Where are you getting them from, if you don't mind my asking? I haven't seen my drake tonight, I am almost plum out of Harlequins (a couple are growing in the bator but taking no bets.)

Harlequin ducks are SO pretty. They're my back up breed after Aussies!

Oh and Amy... I got the letter. I need to find it again. I will do it. But I need to make myself a HUGE note. I know, I know, why can't I keep everything straight and organized in my head???

(Go ahead, I put it out there)

I love love love my WH's, and I hate hate hate that I keep losing them in various ways. Thanks for doing the book thing, have you done one before? I never have. Seriously, do you think we expect you to NOT be scatterbrained sometimes with 5 hooligans, I mean boys, in your house??
