Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Oh and Amy... I got the letter. I need to find it again. I will do it. But I need to make myself a HUGE note. I know, I know, why can't I keep everything straight and organized in my head???

(Go ahead, I put it out there)
Hmmmm............ approaching the big 4-0, are we, dearie????????? Well, get used to it! It doesn't get any better!

(Not that I'd know anything about that). Whistle, whistle.............

I am turning 39 in May witchy poo!!!!!

Oh and you may be right about the eggs CC. I have 46 eggs waiting. And I still have 8 + 8 + 12 + chicken eggs and 4 turkey eggs coming in the mail. Gulp... i can fit 7 in the Brinsea, 44 in one bator, 44 in the other. It's going to be a tight...

Jimbo... Can I buy a cabinet bator from you??? ;)

Colton what an awesome looking family! Tell your mom congratulations and she looks great... Also want to say how nice it was to see such a respectful response.what kind of chickens do you have? What eggs are you hatching? I remember you live close to me...how far from Amery are you?

I'll bring her her own wheelie chair to the bash CC...... gotta be nice to the elderly.

Colton; you have a beautiful family! By all means, if they are up to coming to the bash then we would love to meet all of them! If BigFam does not scare them all off of course....

Jim, amazing pen!

Judge, get better! And yes old houses did not have many closets, they had wardrobes and cabinets to put 'stuff' into. I would take an old Victorian any day over one of the cheaply made cookie-cutter houses they build now.

BBP, were your calls wings clipped? Every time I let mine out I am reminded that I need to trim some flight feathers...... sounds like a good idea for Sunday. They manage to get pretty far and thankfully they land, but of course all it takes is once. I am sorry you have not found yours yet.

Oldest DD is going turkey hunting in the morning..... I hope she gets one right away!

Right now I own: 6 light Sussex, 4 golden comets, 5 buff orpingtons, 2 black australorps, 4 EE's, 1 welsummer-New Hampshire mix rooster, 4 barnyard mix. I am hatching: golden comets, buff orpingtons, black australorps, EE's, Marans, Wyandotte, some others I got from a friend, she wasn't sure what I was given. In all 30 eggs, my friend is also hatching 22 of my eggs. And actually it would take around 20 minutes to get to Amery. So yeah, we are pretty close.

Colton,
Thank you for sharing your family..you are all so cute!!
I hope you do come here for help when you need it

I have a really good time today with the girls! Thank you for your hospitality! You have a beautiful home!

TO always a pleasure and I get to pick you up in the morning for class

Kendra..always so nice spending time with you..we need to do dinner soon.. make a date on the calendar for next month and let me know. Maybe a cook out? Cuties? I will try to make Kendra make the date after the chicks arrive and you and your hubby can come for dinner too. And anyone else who wants to pick up chicks next month. I will make it an open invitation to anyone.

Babylady, I have never had to clip my call ducks' wings. This mallard was apparently a bad influence. I have my remaining calls in coop with my lavender orpingtons and they have a covered run. And then I have a pair from dennis fuller in a raised pen. They are 3 yrs old and have never been free range so I will never let them out to run around. It's just that the missing ducks were in a pen with my bantam cochins and it had gotten really muddy so I was trying to let them all out as much as possible. I just can't seem to keep those pastels, something always happens to them. They are my favorite color. I have 7 calls left plus the 2 ducklings I haven't sold. That's plenty, but none are pastel. I'm sure I'll stumble upon another drake sooner or later.

Amy the ducks are from a lady in Boulder Junction, her original stock came for Holderread Farm, 3-4 years ago. She seemed to know her stuff when I talked to her, there is also 1 Cayuga hen and a mutt. If this all works I can help you in case your hatches don't pan out.
