Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

They look so healthy and well fed..good job..the Orps are already getting fluffy butts..You need a splash Orp for some more color I have a cute fat fat chubby girl here for you with your name on.

I think I am going to enjoy this week of work, well the getting home at 4:30 anyway! Six days in a week is almost too much when you are accustomed to 4! I will get to see the sun sometime this week (I hope I hope!), it really stinks working in a cement cave....... I keep asking my boss for a window.....

Came home, posted on here and took a nap! DH was snoring like mad last night and kept me awake forever!!!! I woke up just in time to take the youngest DS to martial arts class and then my kickboxing after. I am pretty pooped out!

The events of today are terrible; makes me think twice about entering into any races. I know the ones I would go and try would not be on the 'list' but I guess you never know......

Time for bed. Everyone have a good evening!

Since someone mentioned turkey hunting, I thought I would share the oldest DD out on her first turkey hunt. This was Sunday.....

Awwwww! Sweet critter pics, cs. Thank you for going through all the trouble! Those are some beautiful young orps. And Mr. Gibbs is a doll! I do see a bit of pinkening in the comb of your suspected roo so you are probably correct. But in every batch of chicks there will always be an alpha, a dominant personality that will take charge. That doesn't always mean a male. Hopefully it's a girl that is maturing faster & wants to be "top hen".

Ghost, your hubby can stop in anytime & join in. It is good to see him. You've got yourself a good man.

Del, that was great what you did for those horses.

Must sleep now! Sweet dreams, all!

He is charging the door when I come in, flapping his wings and standing up like a roo...I am still convinced on him. There are a few others that are debatable based on bossyness, but him I am pretty confident on. I am tapping him back each time so he learns that he's not alpha. That way whoever takes him won't have too many issues with dominance. He would be a great flock protector however. He already communicates, sends alarms, etc.

Hi ALL!

CS.... You should handle that little guy allot too so he knows "people" aren't all bad.

GR... Nice lookin' horses!

Glad to see you show up BigZ! Sure wish Dr.H would pop in.

The Boston thing is very tragic and it's good to keep people informed, but they've rehashed the same statements and videos over and over! Even the local news spent more time on it than LOCAL NEWS. Important yes, but there is a whole world of things going on I would like to know about. Keep us updated, but don't keep repeating the same thing for hours on end!

I forgot to mention.... Storky went broody yesterday and was nice enough to do it the new broody box I set up for this year! I had it ready just in case. One or 2 hens would go in now and then to lay so it worked out great. Don't even have to move her! I gave her 10 mutt eggs, I never got breeds split like I wanted. The Dom roo has a bug up his butt toward me lately. Don't know why. He's been such a good, quiet boy. Don't notice anything different between him and the hens or other roos... just me!

Got some ribs prepped to go on the grill for tonight because it was suppose to be nice. Well, it was windy a drizzly so I made a skillet meal and we'll have ribs tomorrow.

I might pop back later.... off to finish kitchen chores.
