Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

That is a little too bizarre for me...

FT, we use glass gallon pickle jars for getting our milk from the farm, the gal there said to turn them upside down in the grass for a day, it takes the odor out. I still had to wash them but it did seem to help.
FRESHLY MOWN grass is best for taking odors out of things (like pickle jars and musty books). The fresh cuttings release more chloroform - so I've been told.

Hi
Trying to distract myself for a while. This storm is making my body miserable! Any one else feeling it? The poor birds keep trying to come out! They get soaked and run back in. Kind of wish the turkeys would come out and wash the mud off. Ponds all over the yard and the driveway is almost gone. Jeez! And more rain coming? I'm going to have to see if I can scare up some boards to put on the path to the coop so I don't get sucked into the mud.

No, I didn't open the hen up. She was a good weight and everything looked normal on the outside so figure she got knocked off the roost (she's one that roosts in the rafters) and maybe hit her head on the way down.

Guess I should go feed and water then make supper.... C U later.

Good morning! I got my laundry off the line just in time! The wind was ferocious though. Felt very cold also. I went out to close the North side doors so the critters would have some shelter from the wind and it seemed to stop as soon as it started--it was very weird! Then it was raining a bit and very dark; seems like it is stopped now and getting lighter too. It sure feels like 7 at night though. Guess it is an inside day today...probably a good thing though--I really should clean this sty up a bit before I take off for a 4 day scrapping weekend! Oh wait--it will be trashed by the time I get home anyway...maybe if I do a little DD will finish it up for me?

That place is in the same building as the public library. My wife was to meet at the library this afternoon with one of her home bound students to use their computer, while all that was going on. That kid will do anything to get out of homework. Wait. All his work is homework come to think of it. Nevermind.

You know... I'm not comfortable with you saving spots... Unless you're marking one for us too! You have to be fair to all CC!!!

I'm fair. It's that Irish skin, ya know.

Actually, I'm only really thinking of the, um, "physically challenged" of us that need to be a little closer to the facilities and such. As if ya didn't already know that.

I believe Bigz said that there are 12 spots with electric hookup and last year only 6 were used. There is quite a bit of room for camping, just so all the newbies are aware.
