Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good evening all! I am almost dead asleep after being woken up so early today...and the kids are wide awake! Go figure hey? They are playing footsie on the couch even after an hour of jumping on the trampoline and a nice bath! (and NO naps today!) Sheesh, they sure have stamina...I am sure they will both fall asleep in about 10 mins though...they are supposed to be picked up in twenty!
Had a meeting in town for the kids garden project I am in on at the activity center. Should be a good learning experience. Meeting tomorrow at 11 for the county fair superintendents...that will be a snoozer for sure! Just going cause I have to sign my contract.

JJ did only one of my Bucks hatch or did you not set the rest? I cant remember what kind I gave you now! I was at 10 cots hatched and today SOMEONE (it was DH I know--he was the only one home) unplugged the heat light for them! So what do the foolish birdies do? Yup, headed right into the water! So one was drowned and the rest I took the blow dryer to. THey dont seem any worse for wear though! I will pull the rest of them tomorrow...the others still need to hatch.
ETA: in my hand I am holding a miniature coffee cup and a very large wine glass (now broken)

My eyes are drooping. Let's talk tomorrow. TerriO

(PS) Now that I think of it Jim I cant remember ir it was her or not! I know someone was, sorry!

Someday I might get blue wheaten am. The males are so beautiful. With having just black and blue wheatens you sometimes long for a bit more color to match the egg color.

My cochin is not growing. She hatched from a huge egg and is so tiny. She is the same size as my Silkie. Do they grow slower?

I got 3 buckeye eggs from you 1 hatched with ten toes and one quitter and one unfertile. even with the extra toes it is the prettiest of the hatch.

Mine did not grow slower, but looked smaller due to the lack of tail feathers that stick out. Fluffy butts.

I'm not going to respond to everyone tonight.... very tired and head hurts. I also have to get to bed! Have to take son for his MS check up.

I got 2 of the broodys in a split pen. Kind of crowed but they're just going to set there for a few weeks anyway.

Hopefully Storky and her crew can be moved by the time the next hatch comes. I feel sorry for that poor Dom. Shes been moved at least 5 times since she started brooding, but hasn't given up! The late hatched one I slipped in with Storky is doing fine.

Going to try to sleep.... Night All!

Hello Psycho peeps

Welcome to the group..sounds like you are going to have your hands full..that is what I call jumping in with both feet! Have fun and good luck!! We will need some pictures of your huge set up!

What huge set up? I don't have anything set up, yet. I'm still that new! LOL! My hubby said he'd help me build something, but we're looking around and getting ideas still, at the moment. Right now our little baby chicks are only 2-3 weeks old, so we still have time to build.

Good morning all!
I hatched out some mystery chicks at the end of March and one turned out to be a frizzle...I think it's a Silkie so a sizzle maybe? I think it's a pullet and just the sweetest little thing but I can't keep it because the rest of my flock is all LF, mostly Brahmas, and my roo is such a moose I'm afraid he'll hurt her. If any of you raise Silkies and would like her she is 'free to a good home'. I can deliver to the Seymour swap on Saturday morning. PM me if you're interested.
Have a great day!

good morning,

the ladies survived the night, Just the space heater and it was around 70 degrees, I opened up the enclosed coop, so hopefully they will explore it today

Off to work
have a good day

Good Cloudy Morning! Dave you worry too much, they'll be fine. Sticking with the slw's eh? Was surprised that dk showed up in my absense. So glad to see that!

Calling the guy who is fixing my 20 hp merc today. He's slow but good. Get that Fiord runnin! Used mine to move the gravel and composted manure piles a couple of weeks ago was surprised they weren't frozen. Really nice looking cage there Jim! Nice looking babies too everyone. Wish I had a broody. All I'm going to say about eggs is that it was a normal day.

I sent you a PM about her. She's adorable! I looked up Seymour and it's about 3 hrs from me in 1 direction. There was another swap I was thinking about going to that was closer, is there anyone who's going who lives closer to the Dells that can pick her up for me and then I pick her up from them? Otherwise there's a small animal & consignment auction next Sat. in Kendall, WI. I can pick her up next wknd if you're going to that. That's only 40 mins from my house.
