Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I just read through a LOT of posts and it's so late that all I can remember is oatmeal soap, chocolate sluts and fluffy butts - also some nice pics of said fluffy butt!

If there was a zombie emoticon I'd insert it here.

Loooooong day. First cleaning up all the debris from the tree trimming on Wednesday; then unloading the trailer, taking off the front and sides; and then it was a long drive up to Suring to pick up a plow - finally! Thanks to all who gave me leads on them. Now we need to find a disc and a drag. (Will the searching never end??) A friend that was going to lend them to us passed away a week ago and we have no idea who is doing what with his place and all the tractors and equipment (and cats) he's been hoarding for years. I've met a few cat ladies before but never a cat man.

Tomorrow we unload the plow and hook it up. Hopefully everything will be in good working order!

Good night all!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

It is late, I am tired and there are 54 posts to read,, sorry folks,, you have bested me..

Got the guinea coop choveled out.. 4 bucket loads with the tractor.. tomorrow we tackle the chicken coop,, that will be more like 8 bucket loads,, maybe more..

I added two more roosts inside the new guinea pen.. we caught all of the guineas and put them in there (21 of them).. a couple of them were/are used to not going into a coop.. they spent much of the day trying to get free.. I think we will be thinning the rooster population in there.. looks like there might be some fantastic fights if we don't.. we collected 6 eggs from the pen today.. it sure beats trying to find their hidden nests.. I am sure we have many more than 6 hens in the pen.. I have 54 guinea eggs in the bator now,, and a dozen waiting for the required 4 days between batches..

we gave the goose in the chicken coop some eggs to lay on.. she has been setting for about a week with nothing under her.. she now has 1 goose egg, one turkey egg, and the very first of the season peahen egg.. If a goose can smile, she was doing it after we gave the eggs to her.. she had a nest behind the garage, but something kept stealing the eggs.. she will be much safer in the coop, cause we lock it up every night..

I had to laugh at the barred rock hens.. I have the roost over 6 feet off the ground in the peacock pen.. I watched a couple of them try to get up onto it.. they flew as hard and as high as they could, but only managed to set a flight pattern just about 18 inches shy of the required height.. I added a couple of lower roosts into that pen today also.. we upped the number of BR hens to 7.. If they do not give me the 6 eggs per day, I will add what ever it takes more..

OK, I am off to bed.. and I am NOT going to read the 54 posts..

Oh yeah, we have 2 early hatched "guinea" chicks. one of the chickens lays an egg that looks exactly like a guinea egg.. .

irishrovr, where did you find a plow.?? what kind ?? a picture would interest me,, IDK about anybody else..

Oh yeah,, between loads of sh!t, I worked on the post digger.. It runs if I pour gas into the carb.. then I discovered that the fuel line was plugged.. a wire ream, and that was taken care of,, but I think the diaphram is bad, or else the ports are plugged also.. I doused it with carb cleaner and am letting it soak over night.. maybe tomorrow I will be lucky and It will run.. otherwise I have to hunt down a diaphram for a model 90 Jiffy dirt auger..

Well, I was under the delusion that It wouldn't take me as long as it did to get stuff done tonight...well, it's after 4am and I just got done reading everything. Looks like you get another night off from my droning.
Night All!

ugh...dont remember who said it but the ticks are wild already. Any plants that repel them I can plant or any other suggestions. Girls are getting extra time outside to chomp them up! But I was so busy at rummage yesterday that the only outside time I had was out feeding the girls and still a tick found its way on me... ugh.

happy mothers day weekend everyone. Not sure if I will be on more this weekend or not. Enjoy your day!

Morning all,

Yesterday had to put the ladies in the enclosed pen, The wouldn't go out n their own. Today, I am going to replumb my pond. My pump died last year, got a new filter and pump and increased the water pressure so I have to replace the hose. Should be nicer than last year. Hopefully it will get warmer so I can put the fish back in before june

"Also I cannot believe you had a therapist quit..... how long would it take to get another?"

That therapist had missed 11 shifts since March 20th. She got upset for being written up so she quit.

The terrible thing is there are supposed to be 4 line therapists. The very first day, one no showed. So she was off the team.

We can do therapy decently with 3 therapists. However, I had to let one go. She was a brand new therapist, and an older lady. She just had a hard time being bouncy and playful. She didn't mesh well with Halden and his energy level. So she would get nervous and started grabbing Halden and pulling him into the room to do work. There's a zero tolerance policy on physically dragging a kid to the table. That brought us down to two.

The third quit this week. So we are at 9 hrs of therapy when it should be 33. It has been an awful start!!! Apparently this is unheard of. The saddest thing is he has been responding well to his therapy. He needs these people here and working with him.

As to how long to replace? Keep in mind we've been short since day one, and they haven't replaced her yet. So it will probably take several months to get staff. Then they brand new employees have to have 40 hrs of training with another therapist. So it takes awhile for them to run programs on their own.

All this is the reason I need to be here at home for therapy. Finally getting on my night hrs relieves the stress of a grandparent having to fill in with therapy issues. It's been so very very stressful. In case you didn't know, I have only partially accepted this whole situation. I still can't believe I have a disabled child. So I don't think about that word. I have compartmentalized the entire diagnosis and situation and only deal with it in pieces. I just can't do it any other way.

ANYHOO... A couple soccer games today, some birthday shopping for my niece (her party is tonight but I'll be working) and some chores, then a nap, then off to work. Happy Saturday to you guys!

Awwww. So sorry you have to go through all that. Wish I lived closer. I loved doing line therapy! Hope it all comes together for you and Halden (by the way I adore that name) very soon

That chocolate partridge bantam is beautiful. Nice type.

Halden is very fortunate to have a Mother like you fighting in his corner.

Cuties stopped and picked up her chicks..My DH has such a good time with her kids. They played on the computer together. Than he fed them fruit. It was the cutest thing to watch. I love the way cuties is with her kids, she is so calm and quiet. They are so adorable. I was soooo glad she took more than her three she ordered. woo hoo!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL
